Minji's POV
As the wind strikes on my face, I couldn't stop myself from admiring this place. We had so many memories here that are forever engraved in my mind. I spend hours preparing for this special date for her, hoping she would love it as much as I do. This is our first date since I left, and I had been missing the thrill of surprising her. With a big teddy bear in hand, I made my way to its designated spot. I also hung a bunch of pictures we had taken before, hoping it would bring back sweet memories of our time together. The wind was picking up, but thankfully it wasn't ruining anything I had planned.
As I set up, thoughts of what Haerin had said earlier kept creeping into my mind.
"That place was filled with heartaches". I couldn't help but wonder if it was related to whatever had happened years ago? I'll just think about it later, hoping it would give me a clue as to what to expect.
Haerin and Danielle had kindly helped me prepare for this special night, and the girls will be here after our date. I hoped they wouldn't kill me. Well I understand them if they are mad at me.
I arrived at her house at exactly 5 pm, feeling the weight of the day's events. But as soon as I saw her, I got recharged.
I have a slight doubt on myself, what if I hurt her again without me realizing it. I promise that I won't, I'll do my best to protect her and Cherish her again.
As I was lost in thought, Hanni suddenly jolted me back to reality. Her mere presence always has a way of invigorating my entire being.
"Oh, sorry" I said, as I escorted her to my car and opened the door for her.
Hanni was gazing out of the window, admiring the beauty of nature that surrounded us. We passed by a cute cat earlier, although it was a little dark. Thankfully, the car's powerful headlights illuminated our path.
I could sense that she had a clue of where I was taking her, but suddenly her expression turned to one of sadness. What had I done wrong? I instinctively took her hand and gave it a gentle squeeze, to which she responded with a comforting smile.
The lights around us were now mesmerizing, casting a magical glow in the darkness. I covered Hanni's eyes and led her towards my surprise. As I let go of her hand, her eyes sparkled like stars.
"Do you like it?" I asked, as she examined the pictures hanging one by one.
"Yes, I do" she replied, her voice filled with emotion.
"I thought you deleted and thrown away our pictures" she said, why would I throw those things that reminds me of what we had.
"Why would I? Those are one of my remaining memories when we were far from each other" I responded then hugged her from her back.
"You have this? HAHAHAHHA I remembered Haerin took this because she caught us flirting at the library, so embarrassing HAAHAHAH" she said, I adored how she laugh, this moment is undeniably embarrassing because people are staring at us.
