The Switch (Sophitz)

Date Night

Fitz's POV

I woke up at around 9, much more later than usual and only because I heard my phone ringing quite loudly. It was Sophie. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and answered the call. 

"Hey Soph." 

"Hey Alvar. I was just wondering where you were," she asked, sounding much more awake than me. I quickly thought of an excuse. 

"I went out for a walk and stopped by a coffee shop. Is there anything you want?" I ask, getting out of bed, quickly making it. 

"Not really, but it's sweet of you to ask," she answered. 

"Okay then, I'll see you soon. Bye." 

"Bye." And then I rushed to the bathroom washing my face and brushing my teeth. I fixed what I could of my hair  and grabbed my keys and rushed out, running down the stairs to the garage. I ran to my car and went to the closest coffee shop. 

I parked my car quickly and rushed inside, seeing no line. After ordering quickly, I grabbed both the coffees and headed to my car. 

I soon went inside the apartment, finding Sophie, as per usual, reading a book. Sophie looked up setting her book down. 

"Who wants coffee?" I ask with a small smile. She walked towards, kissing my cheek. 

"Alvar you really didn't have to," she said. 

"I wanted to," I say, giving her the coffee. 

"Thank you," I smile, kissing her temple. 

"No problem." I then went into the bathroom that was in the bedroom, grabbing a towel with me. 

(tiny time skip)

I combed my hair and quickly dried it. I took a seat besides Sophie and debated on whether I should tell her the truth right now or not. 

"Hey Alvar?" Sophie asked. 

"Yeah?" 

"Can we arrange a movie date later today?" She asked.

"Yeah of course. And how about we play fun game to determine the game we're going to play," she then put down her book, ready to find out. 

"We both write some suggestions of movie on small pieces, fold them up and put them in a hat or something and whatever movie it is, we have to bake treats that are inspired by the movie," I explained. 

"All right, let's do it," Sophie said "But later, it is only noon after all." 

I stand up and go to the bedroom and grab a book, reclaimed my spot on the couch and opened my book to the first page. 

(Another time skip :) ) 

I looked up at the clock and saw that it was 4 already. So much time had passed and I didn't even realize I hadn't eaten a single thing all day, but honestly I wasn't very hungry. 

"Sophie, do you want to start?" Sophie had just now pulled her head away from the book. 

"Why, what time is it?" She asked, stretching her arms. 

"It's 4," I answered. 

"Really?" I nodded "So you want to start the preparation?" Sophie nodded, standing up and getting pencils, paper, and a random hat. 

I cut the paper into small pieces and we started writing down the suggestions. I folded the papers and put them in the hat. After she put hers in as well, we shook the hat so the papers would mix and Sophie picked one out. 

"And the movie for tonight is..." she unfolded it "Frozen II." 

"All right great, let's head on into the kitchen," We both made our way inside. After deciding who was going to do what, we decided I would be doing smoothies and desserts and Sophie would be cooking the dinner. 

(Another time skip) 

We both collapsed on the couch as everything was prepared and it was now 7:30. After resting for a bit we changed into more comfortable clothes. We started setting things on the table and we set up the movie. 

As the movie started, we dug in and by the time the movie was over, we watched another one. Sophie snuggled with me, resting her head on my shoulder, wrapping her arms around my waist. I smiled at her, kissing the top of her head and wrapping an arm around her. 

Half way through that movie I noticed Sophie hadn't said a word and as I had predicted, she was asleep. I turned off the movie so I wouldn't disturb her and I couldn't help but feel tired myself. 

And then I fell asleep.
