Chapter 14

Logan's POVOnce I'm in control, I put the gun in my pants, and I unlock Alejandro's phone. I go into his contacts, and I see the name Carlos. I press his contact and I hear the phone ring. No more than one ring later, and Carlos picks up the phone.

C: Hey Alej-

L: Carlos, it's me Logan. Put me on speaker.

C: Okay, that's good.

L: Okay, when we got to the hospital, my parents came out of nowhere, and they started shooting at us. Alejandro took me to the hospital for my safety, and he went back to help the others. They're all in the parking lot.

C: Okay, Logan is listening to me. Go to the hospital, and look for someone you know. You tell them to close the hospital. In the meantime, we're gonna go help the boys, and I'm gonna come see you with Voight, and we're gonna come protect you.

L: Okay, see you soon.

I hang up the phone, and I go to the hospital. When I get inside, I see Maggie. I walk towards her and get her attention.

L: Maggie, Maggie?

M: Yes?

L: You have to close the hospital, there's a shooting outside. Voight and another person are due to arrive in a few minutes. There's a wounded man in the shooting. That's all I know.

M: Okay, I'm doing this right now.

Quickly, we hear an alarm.

Alert, alert! Thank you all for staying in your rooms. This is an emergency situation. I repeat, stay in your rooms.

M: That's the only thing I can do. I can't say any more. I don't want people to panic.

L: Don't worry, I understand.

5 minutes later...I see Carlos and Voight at the door. I'm going to see Maggie.

L: Maggie, Voight's at the door.

M: Okay, I got this.

L: No, give me the keys. I don't want anything to happen to you.

Maggie reluctantly gives me the keys. I open the door, and Voight and Carlos go into the hospital.

V: The others are already there helping them. They're all fine. We can follow what's going on with the radio.

Voight puts the radio on the desk, and pretty soon we hear someone talking on the radio.

5021 Georges, 1 suspect down, and 1 suspect apprehended. Need a patrol car to take the suspect.

Voight goes to Maggie to tell her the situation is resolved, and we wait again for an announcement in the speakers.

All clear, all clear, all clear, all clear. You can exit your room.

As soon as the doors open, we see the boys coming in. Alejandro comes straight to me. He hugs me and gives me a big hug. Shortly after, I come out of the hug, and I look Alejandro in the eyes.

L: You're hurt, you have to go to the doctor, and I still have your stuff.

I pull out his phone and his gun and give it to him.

A: Thank you, little sister.

I leave the room when I see the doctor coming in and I join the others who do not let me leave them.
