My Arrogant Senior

Unavoidable or Intentional

"This have to go there and this at that second rack of that shelf. Learn the medicine work through computer and place it accordingly on shelfs. Got it."

"Yes.Thank you." I smiled warmingly at the nurse, after explaining me she left.

After that incident Dr.Ian punished me to serve in medicine room in my free time.

"You know what Ms.Benett there is a best way so that you will never forget where medicine room is?In your free time you will work there and, if I saw you roaming around just like today then remember it no one will be worse than me."

And that's how I am here between the piles of medicine and stuff trying to arrange them .

Guess where was the medicine room. It was on third floor as a little fire broke out in second floor's room so temporarily they had shifted upwards. No one had told me anything about this or.....

"And now our little tour ends here. I told you overall structure of OT and for others ,visit on your own and for medicine room it's ......"

And then Someone interrupted Ryan.

"Hey anyone here." Someone called out. I was at the last shelf fully covered.

"Yeah here." I called out.

The person moved towards me.

"What are you doing here Amelia?" It's Avie.

I shrugged and motioned my hands to medicine piles. "What you think? Arranging things."

"Yes that I can see but why you? You should be studying or working in wards or anything else but why here?"

"Well I kinda get punished." 

"What?where has the sun risen today? You and punishment." She teased me.

"Well sadly it's true. I got punished as luck was not on my side." She sat beside me leaning on the shelf.

"Well, let's hear your story as I am free for now."

I told her everything from me getting late, punished, not being at clinical ward to my not knowing medicine room and getting repunished.

"Well aren't you both best friends. Both causing troubles and getting punished."

Dr.Alex startled us.

I instantly stood up and greeted him. "Good evening sir."

"I would suggest that both of you should get to work instead of your girl gossips." He looked at Avie. "Especially you, you already have completed your quota of trouble." I looked confusingly at both of them.

"What are you talking about?"

"Aren't you a curious one?I would say focus on your senior,Dr.Ian,as what I have heard he is the Best one and the Worse one." He spat.

"Sorry, you go I am coming." Avie  convinced him and send him.

"What's going on Avie."

"Just  like you I also caused a trouble but unlike you mine was big. I tried to tell them that it's not intentional it just happened but they didn't hear me. Dr.Alex took everything on himself and told them that if something happen after this or I do anything he will resign."

So it's not only me who is in hot water. What's happening with all of us? Had anyone done some black magic.

"After that we are kind of boycotted from all our colleagues. This hospital is a lot to take in Amelia." She sadly told me.

"So was it your fault."

"No, I don't know, I didn't do anything but I did, like an unavoidable mistake."

"Avie.." Dr.Alex shouted.

"Yeah coming. Sorry I have to go ,byeee." And she left. 

Isn't it's strange we all are facing unavoidable mistakes.

* Around two hours later At 7:20 *

Due to fire whatever medicine they saved, dumped here and as a punishment I am arranging them. I have to search their name and understand their work and place them. During this whole time I was only able to arrange one shelf and there are many to go. 

I was tired so I went and grab a cup of coffee.There was a balcony attached to the room. I stepped outside in the balcony. The cold air rustled through my hair. I took a deep breath and let the crisp air fill my lungs, feeling instantly refreshed.

As I stood there, I couldn't help but think about all the things that had happened today. During this whole day one thing that just keep popping in my head is Dr.Ian's eyes. The anger but more than that, disappointment. I don't know why but his disappointment is affecting me more than myself one.

I looked at the road, passing cars, it's evening everyone was going back home after their work. There is not a lot of greenery outside our hospital but yes some trees are planted in the compound beside that you could see metro lines, highway, towers and apartments just after crossing the road. I think so they are our hostel.

"We shouldn't have done that." 

I heard someone talking. Just beside this room staircase starts, one can see the staircase through balcony. 

Some bunch of people were there. All of them in white court.

"Chill out man! We haven't done anything."

Who are they? What are they talking about? I get to the end of railing and looked closer. Thank god balcony's light is defected. It was that senior who told me to study and took Ryan with him.

"But didn't you look at Ian sir how he was enraged. He even punished her. At least we should have let her settled."

"You should thank us man we didn't pull the trick like gynaecology department had. They totally  outcast them."

What the hell are they talking about. Was all this a setup.
