" Bye mummy." I picked my lunch from kitchen counter and my bag from sofa .

" Bye Lia. And don't forget to check for room in staff hostel." My mom shouted from kitchen.

" No need for that now mumma. From Now on you don't have to wake up early to prepare my lunch And me also to get ready for hospital From Monday I am free from this Hospital." My mom came running from kitchen with spatula in her right hand.

" Did they fire you? I can't believe it ! I told you to behave but you never listen to me. . My mom's expression changes in middle of her scolding.

"Now everyone will badmouth you and then you will start drinking .You will become an addict . For your drinks you will sell our house and we all will come on road. No no I can't let this happen . Listen they fired you it's okay we will open our own clinic ..... she caressed my face. " You don't worry we will name the clinic on your name."

" STOP!! Stop it mumma! From where all these things come in your mind. Please stop watching TV and no I don't get fired . I am not an employee there that they can fire. I work as an representative of my medic school. I am just a trainee.

" Then why you said that you will be free from Monday."

" Beacause hospital is going to get renovated and we are transferred to other hospital."

" Oh! I thought you did something."

" No I didn't and I am getting late! BYE!!"

Hush my mom is on another level from where she comes with all these thing. She should try in writing . She will become a good serial killer type story writer but jokes apart she is sweet . Even in this age She wakes up everyday early in the morning so that her daughter don't gets late for the hospital and goes empty stomach.she is my lifeline. She doesn't had to do all this if my hospital had allotted me a room in resident hostel. Every intern is being provided by room on their joining but in my case

Flashback.

" Hello Sir my name is Amelia bennet .I am a new intern here . The allottement list that you have uploaded yesterday has not my name in it."

"You have to wait for your turn."

"What"

"Due to Covid, last year residents hadn't vacant their room ."

" Yeah so???"

" So there is shortage . You have to wait till they vacant their rooms."

"But then where will I go ."

"Off course your home we have decided to give room first to those who live far and you ..... . He checked the list. " you live only 45 min away so you have to wait till resident vacant their room."

" And when that will happen."

" For that ma'am why don't ask your seniors."

Ask your senior. My foot!! RULE NUMBER 1 to survive in junior life. Stay away from seniors. Don't go to them willingly , if they ask for you than go.

" But then where will I stay during my 24 hour shift?" I tried to play my card.

" Listen ma'am it's not like you have to do 24 hour shift tomorrow. You haven't completed a day here and behaving like a trained doctor. No one will appoint you for 24 hour shift for around 1 month."

I glared at him boy he was busy in his computer. I huffed annoyingly "Even then how many days I have to wait approx ?"

" Don't worry wait for one to two week as soon as residents vacant their room I will apply your name first okay. Now excuse me it's my lunch time."

" Okay Thankyou!"

So this happened and now I have to travel 45 minutes daily early at 7'o'clock. Interns reporting time is 8'o clock so to get ready I have to wake up at 6 in morning and serve in hospital till 5 and then from 7pm to 10pm study for My PG( Post graduate). And then eat, sleep, wake, serve, study and repeat. Hush I hate my career first I study day and night like an owl for entrance exam then studied 5 years in medic school and now working my ass off daily. When Will I get my stress free time which my father talked about.

I was lost in my thoughts I didn't realise when I reached my destination. I exited from the metro and moved towards hospital.

I reached my desk and it was flooded with water .

" Not again, my desk is not some kind of water harvesting place that whenever it rains it will store water. I am going to complain management it's not even 2 weeks of me in this hospital and here I am drying my desk for the fifth time. I am going to kill them." I looked at avie but she was lost in her own thoughts. I shooked her. "Avie are you even listening?"

" You are right I should kill him how dare he not apologise to me for stomping on my feet instead what he said listen I am busy I don't have time for your drama of oh! I got hurt."

" Avie whom are you talking about."

" The boy who you also want to kill."

" I was talking about hospital management head."

" Yeah I was also talking about hospit... wait what?"

" I was right you were not listening to me."

" sorry I was lost in my thought of today's incident."

"What happened in my absence." I sat beside Avie. She told me her whole story how a boy crashed into her crushing her feet when she was signing presentee list. And instead of apologising he mocked her.

" How dare he portrayed me like I am some fragile doll."

" Is he from hospital." I asked Avie.

" I don't know but I will find him and make him apologise "

" Avie maybe he was some patient guardian and he was in hurry..." before I could complete my sentence our staff room door opened . I was facing the door . A manly figured appeared . He looked at us.

I asked him " how can we help you sir ?"

Avie turned to look at that person and speaks only one syllable and I got to know who he is
