My Arrogant Senior

The Hospital

Amelia PoV

"Not you junior. "

What?why?

 I slowly closed the cabin's door and walked towards his desk.The moment I reached beside his desk his soft calming tone changed to authoritative hard tone.

"Name" 

A single syllable question.

"Amelia Benett."

" Miss Benett !  did I told you to leave?"He questioned me. He was fully facing me.

Well he hadn't said that but Aishlynn ma'am was leaving so I thought it's my cue to leave.

 But I am not going to give him any kind of reason like I though this that ...because I don't have hobby of digging my own grave.

 So I used the word which is on every junior's mouth's tip.

"Sorry sir." He sighed.

"Miss Benett feed it in your mind. Now you work under me. You will ask me before doing anything ,even leaving my cabin." He was not telling me he was warning me. 

"Understood" 

This whole time I was looking at my feet but I could feel his gaze on me.

"Yes sir." 

"Ok now Go and find Ryan. He will tell you about all the rules and regulations of this hospital and will give you an overall tour."

Now Who is Ryan? How the hell I will find him in this hospital? Is he attending doctor, resident or intern like me?

" Sir if you don't mind I may ask Who is Ryan?" 

Ask him! but politely.

"He is an intern just like you. Now move your feet." He dismissed me.

Okay ,now no questions like where can I find him because he ended this conversation. Now if you don't want to raise his temperature move your feet Amelia.

"And meet me in GS ward at two. And Miss Benett two means two not early not late."

With this last warning words I left  his cabin and moved towards staff room. If Ryan is an intern he must be there.

I looked around the staff room but there was no one in there. There were doors inside staff room on left side. I walked towards doors out of curiosity. The moment I turned the knob a hand stopped me.

"What are you doing? Don't disturb them. All of them had a night shift."

I looked at the person who stopped me. He was wearing doctor's coat.

I turned towards him. He took me away from the door.

"You must be Amelia."

How does he know my name? I looked at him with confusion.

"Yeah but how do you know me?"

"I am Ryan. I work under Dr.Ian."

Ooooo ! that's how

"Hello." I forward my hand  "I was looking for you.Ian sir told me you will give me a tour."

He took my hand and chuckled "Yeah! I know I had to be a guide."

I smiled back.

 " Lets finish this quickly as I have to be somewhere."

" Yeah let's go."

He showed me around the whole hospital. There are total three towers. One in which is I am currently posted is six floor tall and the newest one while the other two are five floor tall. Currently there is no work for us in other two so he only me showed me this one. Every departement have their own floor. Ground floor is for reception and small casualities and other stuff.  While first is of neuro,path,and radio. And second is mine GS. Third is Avie's gynae and fourth I forgot but beside department fourth is also lunch area. 

You know whenever food came my mind shutoff. That time I only listen fooooood. We tour the whole second floor.

"This side is for patients. After surgery we keep them here to level down their anaesthesia and for their recovery. Waiting patients also stay here ."  As we move more, again a hallway appeared on right side opposite to stairs.

"This is public corridor. Surgery office ,anaesthesia office , reception and waiting room. And as you move down the corridor on your left you will find changing room and OT corridor on right of that corridor. There are total 4 OR. Scrub area is beside 3rd OR ."

With thought of discovering OT corridor I moved towards public corridor but before I could go to the end Ryan stopped me.

"Where?" He asked me with his raised eyebrows.

" OT corridor." I pointed with my fingers.

He shakes his head. " No you cannot go there now. You can only go there with your senior. Either to learn or accompany them in surgery. For learning we go every time but to accompany you have to earn it."

Wow... I didn't know.

"Now let's go from here."

We started walking towards stairs.

"Have you ever gone accompanied."

"Yeah, two surgery with Dr.Ian." 

Wow. Amazing. He gone for surgery with Dr.Ian 

"Nice. Looks like you have scored a place. And here I am, scared to even stand in front of him and the funniest part he ain't even shown his anger to me yet."

He chuckled. "You are not alone. Initially I was also scared of him but with time you will realise he is the best senior you can get. Every junior teached by him says only one thing "Ian sir is best". His way of teaching maybe a little twisted but you learn a lot from him."

With this we reach the stairs. "And now our little tour ends here. I told you overall structure of OT and for others visit on your own and for medicine room it's ......"

"Hey Ryan."

Before he could complete his sentence someone called for him. He walked towards us. When Ryan saw him he freezes. What's wrong.

I looked at our interrupter's badge. Yes his badge not his face as I don't want to risk myself on the very first day. It's rule, don't look at your senior directly, keep your heads down otherwise you will be in radar.

He was 1st year resident means my senior. Thank god I didn't look at his face directly.

"Good morning sir."

"If your tour ends get back to your work junior and Ryan come with me."

That was rude. Nah I would not say that as this is how senior talks to us. I am used to it now, no reciprocation of pleasantries, not interested in your name calls you by hey junior or use pronoun, don't give F about you, their work should just get completed.That's how it works. But it's okay.

He took Ryan with him.

Now let's go Amelia you should also study. I went back to staff room and took the window chair.

It's 12:34 only. I have around one and half hour to pass. For now let's read cases and not forget

" And miss Benett two means two not early not late."

I studied whole time but don't know when I dozed off. 

I woke up with a loud sound of something falling . I got startled and look at the clock it's 2:15.

Oh no! Shit!
