Holy shit, you guys. It's been several years since I've thought about this fanfiction. A quick life update--I'm 21 years old now (I was 17 the last time I updated this,) I graduated in 2020, and I am a freelance illustrator. Now that's out of the way, I want to apologize for disappearing out of the blue and popping back like nothing happened. Life just got in the way. Anyway, my creative writing juices has been running lately. It's currently 1:30am, but I don't want to miss this chance. This one will be about the reader going to comic con and meeting Nat Zang. I hope you all enjoy <3
You stood excited in your bathroom, gazing at your reflection with a beaming smile plastered on your face. Your hair done just the way you like it, rocking a Z Nation t-shirt, and wearing an ecstatic expression. You were heading to Comic Con soon, and you're going to meet the one and only Nat Zang.
"Alright, (Y/N), let's go!"
You heard your older sibling call out for the fifth time. You quickly stepped out of the bathroom and walked down the hallway. "I'm here, I'm here," you sneered.
"If I miss the panel just because you were taking your sweet time, I will murder you."
You laughed at your sibling's threatening remark, but your expression faltered after your sibling punched your shoulder.
"Ouch, okay, let's go now," you said meekly which gained a smirk from your sibling.
You both left the house and zipped towards the car. After strapping in, you guys were on your way to the convention center where Comic Con was being held. Your heart raced while your stomach twisted; you couldn't believe you were going to meet your favorite actor. As much as you were excited, you were also anxious. Your right leg began to shake as your damp hands palmed your thighs. What if I make a fool of myself? What if I'm too awkward or say something weird? What if he thinks I'm a crazy fan-
"You're acting like you're going to propose to the guy! You know, I can feel your energy rubbing off on me."
"I'm just nervous about meeting him," you replied sheepishly as your sibling rolled their eyes.
"The worst thing that could happen is you freaking the guy out and he calls security."
You didn't appreciate your sibling's humor and returned a punch to their shoulder.
"Hey! I'm driving, and I'm only kidding," your sibling exclaimed with a grin.
"Look, you're just going to wait in the longest line ever which will give you more than enough time to practice whatever you're going to say, face him and say what you need to say, get the autograph and the picture, then that's it!"
"I'm going to throw up."
You gagged jokingly as your sibling chuckled, keeping their eyes on the road.
After a couple of minutes of banter and laughter in the car, you both arrived at the convention center. You unbuckled yourself and stepped out of the car, looking ahead at the huge building. Fans and cosplayers littered the convention's sidewalk. You and your sibling approached the building and walked in; you sighed in relief from the air-conditioned space.
"I needed this," your sibling commented, hanging their head back as the breeze from the vents above blew.
You both were given the pleasure of waiting in a short line before getting your wristbands and heading off into the main area of the convention. The atmosphere was bustling with pure joy as people roamed all around. The artist alley, which was the first thing you see as you entered, was packed. You both took your time going down the aisles and admiring the various artworks. Your sibling bought a couple prints, and you got your hands on some stickers and key chains of your favorite fictional characters. You both made it to the end of the artist alley and continued to wander around, meeting cosplayers and growing a collection of merchandise.
