10k's P.O.V

I wandered outside of camp with (Y/N). I gestured (her/him) to stay close and I saw (her/him) nod as (she/he) did what I ushered to (her/him). My heart palpitated, worrying for (her/him) and beads of sweat came down from my forehead. As calm as I seem, I always worried for (Y/N). I didn't want (her/him) wandering off without letting me know and getting attacked and being unable to yell for help. That was my biggest worry: (she/he) was severly speech-impaired. When I first met (Y/N), I thought (she/he) was just a really quiet person and doesn't talk very much, or at all. I didn't know until (she/he) signed to me that (she/he) was. I couldn't sign back, but I understood.

"Okay, just stay low", I ordered gently and looked back at (her/him).

2nd Person P.O.V

You heard what he said and nodded your head, staying as close as you can. You accidentally brushed against him and heat rose to your cheeks immediately. He seemed not to notice and you looked ahead, over a car that you both were hiding behind. A group of Z's were eating a body; the sounds of their moaning and hunger filled your ears, leaving you with a disgusted face. You were subconsciously walking forward and he put his arm against you, holding you back so you wouldn't walk right out into the open.

"okay, we'll quickly run over to that building", he said quietly.

He gestured you to go first and you nodded your head, getting ready to sprint. You looked over at the group of Z's, none of them were paying attention to you both. He patted you, signaling you to run. You ran swiftly and quietly, rushing behind the building. You looked around the corner: no Z noticed. You then looked at 10k, but only saw a Z. Your eyes widened before it suddenly collapsed. In the back of its bleeding head was a rock; looking up to see 10k holding a slingshot. His eyes was wide and he panted slightly, glad that the Z didn't touch you. He quickly rushed over and kept his eye on the group.

"alright, lets go", he says before running off, you followed closely.

You both were resting, both of you were sitting across from eachother and backs leaned against a wall. Between you both was a fire that 10k made effortlessly. It was already getting dark and it wasn't enough time to make it back to camp. 10k found an alley way that was blocked off by high gates on both ends, perfect for you two to sleep and not get attacked. He sighed gently, his emerald eyes watched you as you raised both your hands out to the fire, feeling the warmth of the flames that engulfed the sticks and leaves you found in your surroundings. It was nice against your palms and you smiled tiredly, your eye lids were droopy. He noticed you were getting tired and he smiled gently.

"you can sleep, I'll keep watch", he says.

You heard what he said and nodded your head in response. You tried getting comfortable and laid on the ground, your arm was underneath your head like a pillow. You closed your eyes, and seconds later you quickly drifted off to sleep. After all that running and keeping watch, it made you fatigue. Though, you can get a nice deep sleep. 10k looked at you, your eyelids closed and the slow movement of your chest from breathing. You slept like a baby. He snickered before putting out the fire so it wouldn't draw any Z's. As his eyes adjusted to the dark, the alley way was illuminated by the moon that was in the sky. He looked up, seeing the many stars and galaxies that were light years away. It was beautiful, if only you were up to see it, but he didn't want to bother your slumber. He leaned back onto the wall, his eyes stuck on the sky.
