Chapter 22

Thursday

You had woken up to your room being brightened up by the rising sun, with killua still snuggled up under you.

You rubbed his head and comb your hand through his soft hair, taking in the moment as you looked up to the ceiling in deep thought*

"You should be asleep" you heard Killua say, making you look back down to see him still snuggling up under your with his eyes closed.

"But your not sleeping" you said tilting your head. Killua then sat up next to you before saying "I have trouble sleeping, or going back to sleep" he said directing his eyes away from yours.

"Insomnia I see" you said, as you sat up with him.

"I guess you could say that, but I feel like it's more of my choice that I don't want to go to sleep" he said.

"And why's that? Hopefully your family didn't terrorize you with stories of the boogie man" You asked, chuckling at that last part.

"Well..the boogie man wasn't so scary to me as a child" he said. "Then what we're so scared of?" You asked.

The was an awkward silence that filed the room, you were about to tell Killua that he didn't have to tell you if he wasn't ready but he spoke out anyway.

"Did gon ever tell you about a kid he met as a child that he bumped into?" he asked. "Every since that day he talked about kid non stop..but once you came here that all changed because gon told me you were that kid or looked like him" you said raising your eyebrow.

"Well yeah that kid was me..but it's not about me and gon having fun..it's about what happens after"

This would kinda be like a flashback but Killua would be telling it.

After i fell asleep I was roughly awaken by my mother..she pulled me out of bed and told me hurry and get ready..we'll more like cursing at me so I could get ready faster.

But anyway...everyone in that lived in that house sat at the dinner table for "breakfast" until it all got quiet once my father got there, he sat down and everyone looked at him waiting for him to speak.

"So, who fed mike last night" he asked in an ominous tone. Everyone stayed quiet not a peep was spoken.

"Well if no one speaks up I'll just have to ask around and once I find out who it is I promise you they won't be happy" he said as he left the table.

Whispers and mumbles started to fill the room "which one of you brats did it?" "It wasn't me, I was playing a game last night" or "I was asleep I had nothing to do with mike"

"Killua.." my older brother called me.

"Wait wait" you said mid way, interrupting his story, which made him look to you waiting for you to speak up.

"I been meaning to ask you if Mr Z and you were realated..I know it sounds crazy but even though you don't look alike I have this feeling" you explained to him.

"He is" he said looking up to the ceiling. "You don't seem to like him very much" you said.

"That's because I don't...But it's fine, on with the story" he said.

My brother called me over and led me back into his room and locked the door behind him "So what did you call me in here for" killua asked. "I know your one who fed mike those two humans" illumi said.

"So what? you gonna snitch on me?" killua said with slight annoyance in his tone. "No I'm gonna take the fall for it" he said.

"Why the hell would you do that?" Killua asked in shock. "Just shut up and go with it" illumi said as he left out of the room.

So, two weeks had passed and I didn't see illumi until the third and once I seen him i saw how bruised and beaten he was that was most like done by my mother.

I wanted to come out and tell them it was me..but the damage was already done.

And now illumi treats me like a first oldest daughter that decided to have her own way for once, I know it's for my own good but I hate it.

"So I guess I was scared of my family or some of them at least" Killua said.

"Well you don't have to worry because your with me right now" you said as you held his hand and interlocked your fingers.

"Thanks y/n" he said, as a smile formed on his mouth.

After a few more minutes past your phone started vibrating, so you reached over and answered it.

"Hey y/n! it's monic, I was wonder if we could meet up at the mall so you can pick up Nala" she said, you could hear nala giggling and laughing in the background.

"Yeah, what time?" You asked. "11 would be great for us" she said.

"Alright I'll see you guys there" you said before hanging up.

Killua stared at you, awaiting for you to say something. "You can stop staring, monic wants me to meet her at the mall at 11" you said.

"You mean we" he said. "I'm not splitting those 50 dollars" you said, getting up for your bed.

"Yeah, right" he said as he crossed his arms. "Get up so I can make my bed" you told him.

"What if I don't wanna get up" he said, raising an eyebrow. "I'm not gonna force a young man out of a bed, but I am gonna get ready to go" you said being the bigger person.

"It's only 9 why are you already getting ready to go?" Killua asked. "Because it lessens my chances of being late" you said as you walked into the bathroom and closing the door behind you.

"Yeah whatever.." Killua mumbled under his breath before getting out of your bed and fixing it.

While he was up he took the time to look around at your room and all the designs and figures you had.

You were in the bathroom and decide to take a quick shower before starting your morning routine.

Once you were done showering, you kept your towel on and went to your small pantry and started grabbing the things you needed for morning routine with the towel still wrapped around your body.

"Why does she have these..?" Killua said looking a one of the designs around your door.

"Y/n!! I wanna see what you got from the mall!" Kyoto said as he barged through the door, though Killua quickly acted and ran into the bathroom, closing the door behind him.

"What the hell are yo-" killua quickly cut you off so you could hear your brother roaming around in your room.

"You got more ankle bracelets?" You heard Kyoto say from the other side of the door.

"Yeahh.." you answered.

"Put some clothes on" Killua whispered to you, as he looked towards the wall with a tint of blush on his cheek

"They're in the closet" you whispered back. "Why didn't you bring clothes with you in the bathroom if you were gonna take a shower!" Killua whisper yelled.

"Because I thought you'd be gone by then!" You whisper yelled at him back.

"You bought so many clothes!" Kyoto said as he started to look through all the clothes you had bought.

You and Killua were now stuck in the bathroom alone together awaiting for Kyoto to leave so you could get some clothes, but who knows how long that would take.
