Chapter 34

11 hours into the flight.

Talking with Killua was like talking to a forever friend. For some reason he likes pineapples on pizza but dislikes pineapple alone. He doesn't really like his family but He's woke and growing.

"So the plan is to practice for two days, win the game, bask in glory and leave" I told him as Imagined myself winning the game.

"That's not gonna happen" Killua muttered.

"Exactly how because we gotta go to waterfall, explore the town, go through the jungle" Gon explained, using his fingers to mark different places.
"Don't forget, we have to watch the volley ball game" Killua added.

Winning was really all that mattered to me in this moment. Being a strong healthy black woman after killing a dude, getting rid of a stalker and winning a game would be a total accomplishment, right?

"Okay if we're not gonna practice, what should we do?" I asked, but before either of the boys could answer someone else did. "I know someone you three could do~" a familiar deep, seductive voice asked.

"You three could come deep into the mountains with me to find a nice spot to paint~" hisoka started. "You know, Gon. You have a nice physic for the picture I am trying to catch~".

The three of us were dead silent, for who knows how long. Gon was holding Hisoka's stare, and I was watching him just in case he'd try to jump on him like last time and blame it on a spider.

"Uhm, so you said you wanted to go to the lake, y/n?" Killua spoke up, catching a glare from Mr. Hisoka.

"Yeah, y'all tryna go right after we get off the plane?" I say, hoping this weirdo would leave. "Yeah, because you know we got other things to do after that" Gon said, breaking eye contact with hisoka.

"Well..I guess if you three are busy..I'll be up there waiting if you change your mind.." Hisoka uttered, his eyes scanning over our laps. "Mr. Z!" He yelled before walking off.

"I don't understand how he hasn't been fired" Killua said.
"He's friend with the principle" Gon said.
"You mean blackmailing him" I side eyed him.

"Are we actually going swimming first?"

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We are now beginning our decent into Green island. The location time is 12:01 and the weather is 85 degrees with no clouds in sight. We expect to be on the ground in approximately 20 minutes."

"Please ensure your seatbelts are fastened, your seat backs and tray tables are in their full upright position, and all carry-on items are stowed."

"Y/n" Gon said while the captain was talking on the intercoms. "Hm?" You looked towards him.

"You never told me what was in that box. Is it like shoes" Gon said, and my heart dropped to my ass like I forgot to take the chicken out of the freezer.

"Naw it can't be shoes it's like this long," Killua chimes in, using his finger to show the measurements. "it's probably jewelry"

"Well it's definitely not jewelry" Gon said and then they both looked to you for an answer.

I took a deep breath to steady my racing heart. "It's..it's a surprise," I said, forcing a smile. "You'll see when the time is right".

Gon and Killua exchanged curious glances but didn't press further. The plane began its descent, and I could feel the anticipation building. Green island awaited us, with all its mysteries and challenges.

As we disembarked, the warm breeze greeted us, carrying the scent of ocean. "Alright first stop, the lake!" Gon announced, grabbing my wrist and leading the way.

"But our bags" I said.
"Leorios got them" Killua said from behind me.
"And how do we get there, without a map?" I asked.
"We'll find it I promise" Gon said, his smile growing bigger.

We made our way through the bustling airport,dodging tourists and locals alike. The excitement of the upcoming adventure was palpable, but the weight of this box in my hand was a constant reminder of the secret I carried.

At the lake, with 40 minutes been past.

The water sparkled under the midday sun. We found a scheduled spot on some rocks to sit. However Gon and Killua wasted no time to take off their shirts, diving into the water, their laughter echoing across the lake.

I sat on the shore, watching the in the mix of fondness and dread. Monica had been clear with her instructions. But how could I betray my friends, especially Killua?

"Hey Y/n! Come in join us!" Gon called out, waving me over.

"I think not. I don't even have my clothes with me and my hair will get wet. I'll just bask in the sun" I through our excuses before laying on my back with the box right next to me.

The sound of water splashing soon stopped, but I thought nothing of it. I closed my eyes, taking in another breath. The sun shines the right amount of heat on my skin, lulling me into a calm sense.

Suddenly I felt strong hands grab my arms and legs, causing my eyes to burst open. "Aye! What are y'all doing!?" I yelled, kicking and punching them, but it was no use. Killua and Gon were laughing as they carried me away from the lake, putting me in a confused state.

"C'mon  y/n,  it'll be fun" Killua said, grinning.

" Let me go!" I protested,but they were determined. The stopped in their tracks and I looked to my left to see that we were high up. "WOOW"

"Look gentleman.. let's talk this through" I said gripped onto Killua hands as he held my arms. "Throwing a pretty woman like me into the a lake, is just wrong" I explain.

"It's okay, the lake is deep" Gon smiled, swing my feet side to side, causing me to feel more anxious.

"Deep!?" I looked back at the lake. "And if I can't swim?!"

"You just going have to hope we come in there to get you" Killua glances down at me with a smile smirk on his face, and deep down something tells me he's not only doing this for fun.

"This ain't funny no more" I say, as they start to swing me back and forth. "One" Gon says.
"Alright guys, Cut the cameras!"

"Two!" Killua yells
"Guys!" "Three!?" They said in sink as they both let me go. The air flush past me as I fall, this shit doesn't feel real. I see them laughing before I get low enough to only see rocks. My heart feels as if it's about to jump out of my chest, and hug my body and squeeze my nose before impact.

I hit the water with a splash, the coolness shocking my system. I opened my eyes, and the lake was indeed deep, resurfacing to the top,sputtering, I see them both jump in after me, their laughs echoing around us.

A smile grew into my lips as water splashed into my face. They both resurfaced as quickly as I did. "You both are idiots!" I said, splashing both of them with water.

"C'mon you know it was fun" Killua's arm snaked around my waist pulling me in closer. "Was it?" I looked to the sky, as if I was thinking about my answer. I could feel Killua's blue cat eyes staring at mine, looking for something.

"No!" My arms around his neck, quickly putting him into a headlock. "Gon! Help me!" He said before I pushed his head under water.
