It was a long weekend of dance practice and song writing for y/n, not because of any upcoming concerts, but because she was bored. She had nothing major to do really. She didn't really have many friends, so she had no reason to go out. But that didn't mean she didn't want to leave the house anyways.

She sighed, getting ready to just walk around town, and get reacquainted with the area. So she ended up getting dressed, doing her hair up in space buns, not bothering to brush it straight, and just left her bangs out. Glasses on her face, and some of her own merch on, she walked out of the house. What can she say, her own merch is comfy, and besides, people are less likely to try and associate herself with, well, herself. She had seen people try to guess online who she was in every day clothes, often thinking that she would be just as social outside of the stage as on.

Boy were they wrong.

Besides the point, she went to the grocery store, since she needed some things from there anyways. On the way, she saw a beautiful girl with brown hair and doe eyes, and could have sworn she felt cupid shoot an arrow right through her heart. She had a bad habit of gaining little crushes on people when she saw them, and usually they would dissipate within a few days, or if she talked to her.

But maybe she could talk to her? After all, she had no friends in the area, so why not? But going up randomly for a conversation might be weird. So she just went in, and went to the coffee isle.

As she reached out for her favorite thing of instant coffee, another hand reached out at the same time. She jumped back a little. "I'm sorry." She said with a small bow. Looking up, it was the same girl she was admiring from outside the store! Maybe she could talk to her more?

"Hey, it's no problem. You like this one too?"

"Yeah! There's just something about it that's really good, ya know?"

"Yeah. My friends all agree with that statement too." The girl chuckled a little, and god was her voice adorable. "Are you new to the area? I don't think I've seen you around town." It is a small town after all. Most people know mostly everyone.

"Sort of. I lived in japan when I was a child, but we moved to the states for a while. I just moved back with my family last week. Our house is pretty close to my new school, so we figured 'why not?'" The girl nodded, a small smile on her features. "I'm l/n y/n. Just call me y/n though."

"Fujioka Haruhi. Just call me haruhi." Y/n was frantic on the inside, since she was actually holding a conversation with a cute girl! And she got her name! "I see you're a suki fan too!" A small gulp. Let's hope she's not a crazy fan. "She's so friggen pretty! Ugh, I'd love to meet her in person one day."

'Okay, just agree, if you don't she'll think you're weird.'

"Yeah, she is!" It felt weird complementing her stage persona, but it's not something she hasn't done before. "So haruhi, what school do you go to?"

"Oh, ouran acadamy. I got in on a scholarship. Rumor has it they have another scholarship student coming in this week though." A small blush appeared on y/n's face.

"That would be me." Haruhi's eyes widened, and she hoped for a second she hadn't messed anything up. Damn social anxiety.

"That's so cool! But if you see me, don't question why I wear the male uniform in front of people."

"Can I ask why now?" Haruhi thought about it for a second before shrugging.

"I went into what I thought was an abandoned room to study, but it turned out to be a host club. I broke a vase, and they mistook me as a boy. So they made me an errand boy first, and then a host to repay the debt." Y/n chuckled a little.

"Clumsy much?" A hand covered her mouth, and she looked shocked. "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to say that-"

"No it's fine. Not really clumsy, but everyone can be at times." Y/n sighed, relieved she hadn't messed things up between her and her new friend. "Well, I've got to get back to my shopping, but I'll see you at school then. You're a third year, right?"

"Really tall second year." Her eyes widened.

"I know this third year, who looks like he's in fifth grade, so I'm not sure why I'm surprised, but I am." Y/n laughed a bit.

"Well, I'm gonna have to pop by this club of your apparently, to say hello. And possibly meet this third year you're talking about." Haruhi looked at her with a look of wonder. You'd really go out of your way for someone you just met?

"I guess you will." A small smile once again, and y/n's heart began to melt. Damn, why was she crushing already? As haruhi walked away, she turned and waved. "I'll see you tomorrow then!"

"Yeah!" Her heart pounded against her ribs.

This was going to be interesting. When she got home she told her mom's all about it. They thought it was adorable, but her mother warned her to not get too attached too easily. She knew a thing or two about doing that herself, and lets just say, it didn't end well.
