"Please tell me which of these four sentences is wrong." Present Mic spoke to his class, looking up from his book. Y/n was currently sitting in one of the middle rows, in between Mina and Kirishima. She watched as the blonde man looked around the classroom, silently hoping one of the kids would raise their hands.

After surviving her first day at U.A. The girl felt a lot more comfortable in the setting, carefully jotting down notes she was about to raise her hand- but Yaoyorozu beat her to the punch.

"The fourth sentence has an issue with relative pronouns!" The raven haired girl's voice was confident as she spoke and her face gleamed with pride as Mic nodded at her and continued his lecture.

Silently, Y/n let herself smile knowing that she too had the right answer. She jotted more notes, occasionally letting Kirishima copy something she had written when he had stopped paying attention.

As she listened to her loud father explain relative vs. interrogative pronouns to the class, the girl felt someone's eyes staring into her. Quickly looking up, she saw none other than Katsuki Bakugou giving her a death stare, his bright vermillion eyes were sharp with hatred and suspicion before he looked back to the front of the classroom.

Ever since the girl had beat him by one point during the quirk apprehension test, he seemingly despised her. They hadn't even said one word to each other and somehow she had made a rival out of him. Great.

The bell rang, signaling lunch time. Mic quickly told the class what chapters to read as everyone shuffled out of the room, except for Y/n.

"Hey, Y/n, aren't you coming?" Mina asked, noticing her friend hadn't followed the rest of them out.

The dark haired girl nodded, "Yeah, I am. I just have to talk to Mic real quick. Don't wait up." Mina nodded with a smile and left the room. But Y/n wasn't going to talk to Mic, she was going to confront Bakugou about his behavior. If there was one thing she didn't want, it was unnecessary drama.

The dark haired girl had noticed that Bakugou always seemed to leave the room last, even after Mic had left to go talk to Aizawa in the teachers lounge during their planning periods. She just had to wait for the perfect moment. The girl pretended to pack up her stuff, glancing up every few seconds to make sure Mic left and Bakugou stayed.

The ashy blonde boy was currently still sitting down at his desk, finishing tonight's homework in one fell swoop, Y/n had noticed him working on it during class. Soon enough, Mic left the room (after giving the girl two finger guns) and Y/n could finally sort out her one sided dispute with the boy.

She approached his desk, "Alright, what is your problem with me? Did I do something to horribly offend you and your ego?" She made sure to be strong in her stance but not threatening or too aggressive.

Instead of answering, Bakugou just glanced up at her and then right back down at his paper to finish the last question. He scribbled his answer in and then shoved the paper in a folder which was shoved into his bag.

"You're a damn extra, why would I waste my time on you?" His voice was gruff and laced with venom as he stood up and started walking towards the door.

"I don't know, ask the petty stares and bad attitude you've been giving me for no reason." Y/n was not about to let him walk away without admitting he'd been a dick to her. He just opened the door and started walking towards the cafeteria, the girl followed- hot on his trail.

"Ohh I know. You're jealous that I scored higher than you, is that right?" It was underhanded, she knew that, but apparently the boy only responded when someone poked the bear. And poke the bear she did, because the way he looked at her would've been a warning sign to people who actually feared him and his unbridled anger.
