Chapter 5 - Freedom of The Press

When the small family of four arrived at the school, they were surprised to see a horde of news reporters badgering students and faculty that walked past them into the entrance. Y/n could see a woman shove a microphone in Iida's face and ask him a question, only for her to instantly regret it as Iida no doubt gave an answer that was far more in depth than they wanted.

"I'll bet they're here because of All Might's position as a teacher, probably hoping to land an interview or sighting of him." Mic said, unfastening his seat belt, "Alright. It'll probably be easier if I go first, then the kids, then you, Sho. Just so we don't all get mobbed at once. I'll see you two in class later, love you all!"

The blonde man got out of the car and started walking towards the mob, once they spotted Present Mic they rushed over to try and get some sort of interview (and to see if he could call All Might).

"Alright, you two, get out." Aizawa said, glancing at the two kids in the back seat. Y/n was currently retying Hitoshi's tie, as he had very poorly done it beforehand. The lavender haired boy was on his phone as she did so, watching cat videos.

"Toshi, can you hold still? I'm doing you a favor here!" Y/n said, swatting at the boy's arm. Once she was done, she flicked him on the nose and straightened out her skirt.

"See you in a few, dad." She got out of the car, leaving Aizawa and Shinso alone together.

The younger boy looked at his sister before turning to the tired looking man, "She just called you dad, when did that start happening?" Aizawa shrugged.

"She started doing it the other day, I can't tell if she's really picked up that she's doing it. But I'm not about to start complaining, I'm just glad she feels comfortable enough to do so. Now get out of the car, you're gonna be late." He made a shooing motion with his hand, causing the young boy to laugh before getting out of the vehicle.

Once both kids were out, they started walking to the building together. They were able to evade the crowd around Mic, but just as they were about to enter the gates a reporter called out to them. Noticing the nervous look on her brother's face, Y/n whispered to him that she'd be fine on her own.

"You sure? I'll stay if you want me too." But the girl didn't want her brother to feel uncomfortable, so she just nodded and pushed him a little.

"Yes. Besides, All Might is my teacher– not yours. They're only here because of the hero students, after all." Shinso nodded and gave the girl a grateful side hug before walking towards the building.

"Excuse me, young lady! Are you one of All Might's students? What's it like being trained under the Number One hero?" A microphone was shoved into her face and Y/n could smell the cheap floral perfume the lady had absolutely covered herself in.

"Uh, yeah I am. And it's...it's really nice? It's cool having a teacher who is so– experienced?" Her answer was lackluster, but the reporter pushed farther and the cameraman was shoving the lens really close to her face.

"Are you implying that your other teacher's lack the skills to properly educate and train the upcoming generation of heroes?"

Okay, not at all what I said. Not at all, whatsoever. She's really pushing for a story here, huh?

"No! Not at all! All of my other teachers are wonderful and totally qualified to be teaching, I just meant that with All Might being a teacher we get the Number One's perspective! That's all!" Her voice came out a bit shaky, something about the camera and the flashing lights from the journalists was making her extremely nervous.

"You look familiar... are you, perhaps, the girl that All Might recovered in a special ops mission two months ago? How does it feel being saved by someone so renowned for his skills?" Y/n felt her blood go cold at the question. How did the media know about that? Nezu and Aizawa never mentioned anything about her situation being in papers or on the t.v., especially if she was going to be recognizable from it too.
