Chad went back to the Laughing Place and sat against the cave wall with a sigh.

Brer Vulture noticed from where he was perched on a tree.

"Brer Chad! If you're back in the Laughing Place... how come you aren't laughing?" he said.

"Something's wrong, Brer Vulture. My wife's in Splash Mountain and... somehow, I miss my home" said Chad.

"How's your wife makin' ya miss home?" said Brer Vulture.

"I dunno. I s'pose it's that I know she can't stay. I do love her so" said Chad.

"Well, why not tell that to your pal, Brer Jeremy?" said Brer Vulture.

"I can't tell Jeremy I'm homesick. He'll think I'm a baby" said Chad.

Jeremy and Burt Ward came in to check on him.

"Chad, are you sure you're alright?" said Jeremy.

"Yes, I should be fine now that I've had some space" said Chad.

"Holy quick recovery. I thought something was really wrong" said Burt.

As Chad laughed, he continued talking. "Well, Brer Rabbit's making lunch now. In the meantime, Chad, wanna go zip lining? They finally put a break system on that thing."

"It beats slamming into Space Mountain. Although it did knock out my wisdom teeth" said Jeremy.

"That does sound most fun, lads, but I can't" said Chad.

"Don't bother asking why. Zip lining could blow his glasses off" said Brer Vulture.

"That would depend on which way the wind is blowing" said Jeremy.

"It's blowing the wrong direction today" said Brer Vulture.

Burt rolled his eyes. "Gee, Chad. Are you sure getting some space worked?"

"Come on, lad. I'm your best friend. Tell me what's wrong" said Jeremy.

Chad sighed. "Alright. The truth, Jeremy, is I'm..."

Brer Vulture cut him off. "He's scared of dogs."

Chad looked at him with an angry face and mouthed "what?!"

"No he's not. He and I were always petting dogs when we were in school" said Jeremy.

"And he's not afraid of Brer Fox. Foxes look like dogs" said Burt.

"Is the vulture telling the truth, Chad? Did you not even have breakfast because you're afraid of... dogs?" said Jeremy.

Chad wanted to tell the truth, but Brer Vulture wagged his wing to tell him to keep lying.

"That's half right, Jeremy. I did develop a little fear of dogs a few days ago. And as I said before, I didn't eat breakfast because I'm just not hungry" said Chad.

"Holy surprise ending! Since when is an animal lover afraid of the best kind?" said Burt.

"Actually, Burt, there are many forms of zoophobia. But I admit, fear of dogs is one of the stranger forms" said Jeremy.
