Explosive Pizza!

Chapter 7

Patty had just brought some wild leaves to the Briar Patch.

"Are you sure this'll be a good dinner, Patty?" said Jill.

"Sure, Jilly. Think of it a surf n' turf without the surf and with real turf" said Patty.

Brer Fox popped up. "Psst! Sis Patty! Don't move. Dare's a gard'n gnome on yo back. An it looks angry." 

He pretended to take something off Patty's back then clutched his neck. "Got it! It's on my throat!"

Then he ran outside and pretended to wrestle.

"Oh bother" Jill sighed.

"On the plus side, he's no longer seeing the dragon" said Patty awkwardly.

Brer Rabbit and Brer Bear looked outside to find Brer Fox rolling on the ground and letting out martial arts grunts.

"Wow. I can't believe he's wrestlin' an imag'nary gnome" said Brer Bear.

"I can't b'lieve he's losin'." said Brer Rabbit.

"Yeah, you'd tink he'd have de uppa hand bein' real an' all" said Brer Bear.

Brer Fox then rolled off a ledge into the river.

"Ooh! That had to hurt!" said Patty.

Burt came over and saw the action. "Why did Brer Fox just fall into the river?"

"Cuz gnomes fight dirty" said Brer Rabbit casually. 

"Brer Burt, have you met Brer Chad's wife, Sis Jill?" said Brer Bear.

Burt looked at the pretty lady. "Why no. Burt Ward, ma'am. I've heard many good things from Chad. He loves you so much, it's making him homesick."

"But... I'm here now" said Jill.

"That's why he's homesick. He'll miss you when you leave" said Burt.

"Is dare anyth'n we can do ter help?" said Brer Rabbit.

"Well... if he's homesick for Jill, he might like having dinner with her. You think that could be arranged?" said Burt.

"Maybe. But we're a little low on supplies since we blew up the kitchen" said Patty.

"Sis Patty" Brer Rabbit coughed.

"All we got is what we found in de woods. D'you have anything we can eat?" said Brer Bear.

"I'd cook Brer Vulture if it were legal. And we do have one thing... but I don't think it'll go over well with Chad. But I think I know something he would like" said Burt.
