Jessie stayed at the hospital for at least a couple of nights for observation, she checked out right away as soon she got the okay. Though it didn't seem like a great idea but then again she was to go to check ups every once a week at least and with that also goes with therapy for many months before she goes back to school in the fall, which the checkups takes place all in one place, Hawkins Lab. With Doctor Owen's and Dr. Kimberly which is her therapist.
"Here, let me help" Steve let his arm out for Jessie to grab, at the bottom of the stairs, he had seen her hesitant to go up once they got home. "I'm okay, Steve-" "You should move all your stuff down here Jess, because this is ridiculous you know that right?" He looks at Jessie unsurprisingly but with annoyance.
"What do you want me to grab this time?" He sighed and started up the stairs. "A cassette tape in the top drawer from my desk" she told him as he proceeded to go up and disappeared into her bedroom. "Anything else!?" He hollered from her room. "No, that's it!" She hollered back, waiting at the bottom of the stairs.
It was Christmas night, where both Harrington siblings were going to The Wheelers for Christmas, Nancy invited them of course considering what's happening between their parents, arguing 24/7 and they didn't want to spend their Christmas with that.
The drive was slowly least it started to slowly, so Jessie put in the cassette tape into the car stereo. "Which mix tape is this one?" Steve asked as he drove them both. Jessie smiled as she pushed play. "Our favourite" she told him and looked at him as Old Time Rock & Roll by Bob Seger started to play loudly. Steve gave his sister a Quick look then smiled and started singing along and she joined him.
Both Steve and Jessie changed, Steve started to stick to Jessie's side 24/7 which annoyed the crap out of her, but she didn't mind. She was afraid to be alone, she was afraid of a lot things after coming back from the upside down. She didn't like the dark, definitely every sudden loud movement in the dark, she hated being around the fire place, not to mention going out to the back of the house or in her room for some reason she couldn't bring herself into own room so she stayed in the guest bedroom downstairs which didn't really help the loneliness because everyone's bedroom was upstairs but luckily didn't wake up anyone from her occurring nightmares and doctor Owen's told her it was completely normal to have them that long.
"Hey Jessie" Ms. Wheeler smiled at her as she continued to walk around to the kitchen, she followed Ms Wheeler while Steve went to go see Nancy in the living room.
"Hi Ms Wheeler," she smiled and sat by the counter, making herself at home as usual.
"Great more guests" Ted walked into the kitchen to open the fridge for a soda and juice box for Polly who followed in pursuit behind her father.
