"Good afternoon, Jessica." Doctor Owen smiled as he entered the room; she smiled back and watched his every move.

"I see your mother isn't here." he looked over at Hopper, who stood near the bed that Jessie sat on.

"No other relatives to take her place, caretaker?" He asked while looking over some of her papers; then he looked up to see she nodded her head no. Her mother had a drinking problem due to arguing with her dad for months, and he got kicked out in the end

"I trust him; it's alright," she muttered with a small smile.

"It's quieter today. Has anything happened in the past two weeks?" he asked, walking up to her to examine her more closely. A nurse came in with a tray of things, and her eyes snapped towards her.

She was paranoid about them; she had every reason to believe what Hopper had told her earlier in the truck. If he didn't trust them, then she shouldn't trust them.

"No, Nothing, just having a day," She lied, letting the nurse take her arm and wipe it with alcohol, then tying a rubber band around her upper arm.

Doctor Owen observed her momentarily and sighed, sitting on the stool.
"You sure nothing happened? No nightmares or vivid dreams, visions during the day?" He asked with seriousness. She nodded while the nurse took some of her blood.

"No, sometimes nightmares during the middle of the night are like the usual." Half honest, half-lie, she knows what that means.
"Anything different?"
"No, just the usual dreams/ memories I've been telling you about the past few months," she huffed in annoyance. Doctor Owens clicked his tongue while writing down her charts.

"You know you're different from Will. He's been having these visions of that place lately, " he revealed to her, making her look immediately at Hopper.

"Is that true?" she asked him. He had been in the same room with Will just before it was her turn.

"Yeah, it's true, kid, but are you telling the truth?" He narrowed his eyes at her. She quickly nodded her head and sat up straighter on the bed.

"No, I said nothing has changed! Why does everyone think that?" she denied, a snap of anger fuming. Everyone kept asking about the upside-down when she only wanted it to go away.

"I just want to move on from the fact that I died in there and focus on school so I can get out of here." She rambled, grabbing the bed tightly as the nurse checked her blood pressure on her other arm.
