I was busy in my office as I heard a desperate knock on my office door and before I could open it up, I saw Aaron rush in carrying a young girl with him and the moment he brought her in my right forearm started to burn and that was when I realized who this young girl was clinging to Aaron.
"Aaron lay her down on my couch and go to dad's office and get the vial." I barked out as I quickly ran over to my baby sister, gently picking her up as I could feel her tears against my warm skin.
I rocked us back and forth as she clung to me crying in my shoulder as I watch the rain start to hit harshly against my glass windows, and I know this was my sisters doing as her emotions are all over the place and dad is not here to help with what she needs.
"Shh, little butterfly. I am right here; we will get through this, my sweet little butterfly." I had gently cooed in her ear as she sniffled and hugged me tighter as I cuddled her after situating her on my lap with the throw blanket placed over us.
"Austin, there are no vials in dad's office. They might be at home." I let out an annoyed groan, knowing Aaron must leave to get what we need to help our sister calm down and stop the rain from falling and creating a small rainstorm.
"Fuck, okay you quickly head back to the house and get what we need to keep our sister calm, I will watch her till you get back." I sternly ordered my brother as I watched him leave my office in a rush.
I leaned my head back against the wall as I held my little sister in my arms, letting her cry out her emotions waiting for her to calm down or fall asleep, when I felt her even breathing, I knew she was sound asleep resting against my chest.
I heard my door open, and my PA walked in, still wearing revealing clothing, trying to get me to sleep with her when I was a happily gay man with my partner who would burn her alive.
I carefully lifted my sister into my arms as I went back to my seat to sit down and continue with my work, before father came home from dealing with our mother who now has no idea about Wynter and what she was doing.
"Sir, Mr. Crescent is here." My PA's shrill voice was starting to annoy the hell out of me when she was telling me my best friend was here from his assignment.
"Send him in, and please go change your clothes. I'd rather my sweet baby sister does not see your damn breasts hanging out." I sassily stated when Knox entered the room with an amused look upon his face, shutting the door behind him.
This man was a good six foot with a body built for power and speed, with how much he works out showing off his muscular frame that is hidden underneath the black tight uniform for our protection detail units.
"Knox, how was the job?" I chuckled amused when my best friend glared at me and flipped me off when his dark deep blue eyes landed on my little sister.
"Who?" was all he said before he came over kneeling down and pushing away her hair from her sweet face.
My eyes widened slightly when I saw his markings on his left arm grow and stretch down to his right arm with snowflakes, and the stars of the night sky entwined down his arm ending with the crescent moon and a snowflake on the back of his right hand.
"No fucking way!" I hissed out, as I gently handed over my little sister to Knox who was now sitting on the floor with her leaning against his chest clutching his shirt in her hands resting on his lap sideways.
I was not amused knowing my little sister was with the most brutal individual to ever come out of the Crescent family and this was not happening, I mean I have yet to know my sister, and this happens.
"Uh, Austin why is Knox cuddling with our baby sis?" Aaron asked as he walked in handing over the vials, we need to give to Wynter.
"What are those and what in the fuck do you think you are going to do with them?" Knox harshly said, holding our sister tightly in his arms glaring with his dark eyes.
I raised one eyebrow seeing how she needs the vial of listhea to help keep the storm inside from breaking free and causing mayhem in the city with how much rain was falling.
"Aaron, how was the rain fall?" I softly stated as I sat on the floor in front of Knox and Wynter criss crossed with the vials and syringes setting it all up, ignoring my best friends question.
"The rain stopped on my way here, and the sun is now peeking through the clouds." I stopped what I was doing when I looked outside to see the sun was shining an no rain was in sight.
I was feeling a little perplexed when usually dad would give us this stuff growing up till, we were able to control ourselves and not cause to much mayhem.
What I was not understanding is how, when I know Wynter is still distress from whatever happened at school and I needed to find out what caused her to lose control.
"Aaron, can you tell us what happened and how Wynter lost control?" I softly asked as I saw my little sister blink her eyes open looking around the office before her eyes landed on Knox who was running his hand through her hair gently.
"Baby sis." Aaron called out as he took his spot on the left of Knox, placing his hand on her back rubbing it gently trying to coax her out of her comfort zone.
I carefully got it all set up and was about to lift her shirt up to place the tip of the needle into her spine, when her pretty, round eyes stared at me with such innocence that I could not bring myself to give her what she needs to help her till father returns.
"Hello, sweetheart. I am our older brother Austin; you already know Aaron and the one holding you is Knox my best friend." I softly said, watching her stare me down and when she spoke my god, I felt my heart skip just hearing the soft airy voice of hers.
"Um, hello. What are you plan to do with that syringe?" Wynter shakily asked as she latched herself to Knox who pulled her more against his larger frame to keep her protected and feeling safe.
"Sweetheart, the liquid in the syringe will help sedate the storm inside, while we wait for father to return home." I gently told her as she eyed me with a glare, pouting as she squished the side of her face against Knox's.
We all chuckled at how adorable she was being, and I half expected for Knox to push her away, yet that is not what happened with the big brute who nuzzled his cheek against hers, kissing the side of her head as he held her.
