The Storm Inside

Wynter Silvermyst's POV

When we arrived back home Leah and I quickly changed into something more comfortable as we always have done since mother would end her weekly beatings.

After we changed, we had curled up on the couch downstairs to watch movies all day, eating junk food and having a girls day while everyone else was dealing with our crazy mother back at the workplace.

I began to worry for my family, knowing how my mother can be when she sets her mind on something that she wants, she always gets it eight percent of the time.

"Sweetheart, Sis. I am going to order some food, call me when it get's here and do not by any means answer the door." I nodded, as Leah and I both agreed we would call him before anything else when the food arrives.

"You don't think, your mother actually sold you to Theo, do you?" I shrugged not saying anything as I would not doubt for a second, she had done so, and now that I have found my life partner, she fucked herself over seeing how Theo is not someone to mess with or fuck over when he does not get what he wants.

"I would not doubt it for a second if she had done so, as Theo is not someone to upset even when he is only a common fae without magick." I said, shrugging my shoulders as we both heard a loud knock on the front door.

"Knox!" I bellowed out with Leah giggling next to me as she watched my man appear out of thin air.

"Yes, my little snow fairy?" I giggled as I told him the door and I am not sure if I should be worried about him answering the door when something could happen to him.

"Well, well, seems to me your mother is a blind bitch that does not realize I knew about you long before she knew you were with my cousin." Theo's voice rang out as I was now confused seeing Knox glaring at Theo who had a large grin on his face waving his hand in front of Knox.

"Oh, hush, big guy. Auntie called ma telling her all about you finding you life partner and how excited she was to meet her." Leah and I were both stunned shock seeing this as I had no idea Knox was related to Theo, then again, I can now see the similarities now.

"Holy fucking shit!" I loudly exclaimed as I jumped up towards them both, as I stood next to Knox who grunted out his distain while I blinked slowly at Theo who was amused.

"Oh, I am hurt dear cousin that you did not tell your lovely partner about me." Theo faked being hurt placing his hand over his heart and I had to quickly diffuse the situation before there was a dead body on the floor.

"Okay, so mother sold me to you, yet you don't want or need of me and now my mother is fucked because you screwed her over why?" I asked confused with the whole situation, as I leaned against Knox who held me close to his body while Leah was watching eating popcorn from the front entrance.

"Well, your mother owes me a lot of money, and when she offered you to me, I knew I could just have my dear loving cousin take her out for me and get my money back." Theo said, shrugging his shoulders as I blinked slowly to understand what he had just said.

"Wait, you were going to ask Knox to kill my mother and get your money back after she dies?" I finally asked as I stared up at Knox who looked down at me with a bored and amused look shining in his eyes.

"Wynter!" I jumped when I heard many loud voices scream my name as I saw all my brothers rush inside towards us as they all stopped to see what was going on.

"Uh, hi. Where is mother?" I had to ask wondering if this was dream and my nightmare was finally going to be over for the last time.

"Mother is no more, as papa is dealing with her back at work." Aaron explained as I was taking by the hand from both Aaron and Erick as I watched Knox, Theo and Austin leave at once by Knox using his shadows to his advantage.

Now I began to be more confused as everything was starting to hurt my head as I had no idea what was going on and how this all had to end up with me having to see my mother and now, she is being taken cared of and I will never know if she will be alive by the time, I have my first child with Knox.

In the meantime, I am not going to worry about that woman, when I can spend my fear time with my brothers and best friend as we watch movies all day joking, playing, and laughing with each film we watch.

I felt happy for once and I plan on keeping it that way with no worry when the next time I must deal with a beating, I can finally enjoy my life with the people I love the most, my family.
