Kisaki opened his mouth to speak, but before he could utter a single syllable, Danny's vision was filled with her old room. "Damnit!" she cursed as she fell back on her bed. "Almost had him," she sighed in annoyance and frustration as she dug her phone from her pocket. Looking at the time, she saw that it was after school hours. "I wonder where the hell Take is," she grumbled as she got up and stuffed her phone back in her pocket. Bowling alley maybe? she guessed as she headed out.
As she walked, realization slowly dawned on her for what she had just done. She not only shot a man, more like a snake, twice but was prepared to kill him. She pursed her lips and swallowed hard as she blinked in surprise at herself. It would've been that easy to kill Kisaki... Sure, he definitely deserved it after everything he had put them through, but what the hell was she thinking?! I need some serious help... Eh, too busy for that anytime soon.
Eventually, she made it to the bowling alley and Takemichi was unsurprisingly there. Instead of bowling though, he was playing pool with some guy she didn't recognize. He was rather tall, slim, and had closely shaven hair, and a scar on the side of his mouth. "Hey, Hinata," she greeted as she walked over to the girl.
"Oh! Daju, I didn't expect to see you here!" she exclaimed in surprise, catching another girl who stood nearby's attention. She had long ginger hair, sharp eyes, and wore a black school uniform.
"Yeah, I got bored," she replied with a shrug and a smile.
She nodded before remembering about the other girl. "Oh, uh, Daju, this is Yuzuha Shiba," she said, gesturing to the ginger. "And Yuzuha, this is Danaju Hanagaki." She gestured to Danny.
"Yo," Danny greeted with a small two-finger wave. "I'm that dope's older twin," she added as she pointed at Takemichi with her thumb, just in time for him to miss hitting the last ball into the hold.
She nodded. "I'm that one's older sister," Yuzuha said as she pointed at the other guy.
Wait... Shiba? Then is that guy Hakkai?
"Hey, did you get into a fight or something?" Hinata asked with a concerned look, surprising Danny a bit.
"Huh? How could you tell?"
"You're usually more aloof when you've been interrupted," she replied with a slight sweatdrop. She had known her for a few years and had learned her moods at this point.
Am I? Danny thought with a hand on her chin, trying to think. After a moment, she just shrugged.
"What incredible technique..." Takemichi muttered in awe as Hakkai hit the ball flawlessly into the hole.
Danny honestly didn't get the appeal of the game. You poke a ball with a long stick and try to get it in a hole. Sounds like so much fun. She'd rather smash a shuttlecock into someone's face any day.
"How about we play a game of ping-pong next?" Hakkai asked as he leaned next to Takemichi.
"You're on!"
"There isn't any ping-pong here," Yuzuha spoke up. "Let's go."
Hakkai turned to the three girls with a laugh. "Sorry, but I just love watching how he reacts." He then noticed Danny. "Oh, Danny's here too?"
"Yo. Hakkai, right?" she asked, hoping she was right.
"Yeah," he replied as he put his school jacket on.
"... used to be a cool guy, but changed after prison..." Danny recalled a short passage of her notes as the five of them filtered out. But why did he get arrested? He seems like a pretty good guy, so what happened?
