One Month Later

Our flight landed in New Zealand, and I stepped off the plane. Why I'd agreed to go, I wasn't sure. I mean, it sounded fun and I needed a distraction.

When everyone was gathered around outside, Elton said, "All right, boys, Poppy, we finally made it to New Zealand! We landed at seven this morning, we got through customs at nine. It's an hour later, and I figured the first thing we'd do is jump off that building above you."

We looked at the building looming above us and Sam started freaking out. "How are we gonna top this?"

I shrugged. "I'm sure Elton will find a way."

Corey and Sam started fake crying and ran off. I sighed and grabbed their arms and pulled them back. "No chickening out, boys."

We walked into the building and got our suits. Colby smirked at me and said, "Lookin' good, Poppy."

I rolled my eyes and swallowed as I stared at the building.

"You okay?" Colby asked.

I nodded slowly. But I think Colby could tell I was lying.

When we all had our harnesses on, Corey was determined to go last, but Elton decided he would go first. Corey and I gripped the railing tightly. My hand curled around the railing and seemed to have turned ghostly white as I stared at the height before us.

Sam went next and he waved before disappearing below. Colby took his turn and looked down before looking back up at us with a terrified expression, causing Elton to laugh hysterically.

Elton gave me a smirk. "Now, the newest member of TFIL gets to experience the thrill of a lifetime."

I glanced at him. "Do I have to do this?"

"Don't make me push you."

Colby waved up at me. I closed my eyes and jumped, figuring it was better to get it over with. As I did so, I swear my life flashed before my eyes. When I got to the bottom, I was unhooked and said to Elton, "I really hate you."

He smirked and we made our way to our next location. Bungee jumping into water. More heights. Yay. And due to my stature and weight, it was entirely possible I wouldn't hit the water. Even better.

Corey started dancing to the music while I watched. Before Colby could start hip thrusting on me, I backed away. He shrugged and began hip thrusting on Corey.

"What are you doing?" Corey asked as he backed into Sam.

Sam started hip thrusting on Corey and soon, the boys were dancing while Elton filmed and I rolled my eyes.

I turned to Elton's camera and said, "Rumor is, we get ice cream for doing this. That's the only reason I agreed to all this jumping insanity."

Elton nodded and Corey kept complaining about having to jump, especially since he didn't have his full harness on. I fully admit I wasn't keen on it either.

I noticed an old lady readying to jump off and said, "Corey, if a sweet old lady can jump, and if I'm willing to face my fears, you can too."

"Thanks, Poppy, but I don't think I can."

"Corey. You can bungee jump. Trust me. Just do your best to face your fear."

When we reached the top, Elton asked, "Who's going first?"

One of the employees called his name and his ankles were strapped in. Elton seemed nervous as he said, "I've never gone by my ankles before."

He fell and hit the water before coming back up. Colby, who was next to jump, did the same thing.
