We boarded the plane bound for Tokyo. Yay; more heights.
After we'd landed, Elton told us we had 13 minutes to learn 13 words in Japanese. Brennen wondered if there would be strippers, causing me to roll my eyes.
We walked through the airport and were greeted by fans who had made us papers with our names in Japanese and things we liked. My paper not only had my name, but various drawings. I was also handed a Dunkin' coffee. Even though I'd never directly said, fans always seem to know. It's creepy.
I took a picture with the boys while they took pictures with others. The meet and greet didn't last long because we needed to move on. Elton said that we would have to take two trains to get to our hotel.
We got down to the trains, which was relatively familiar territory for me. When we boarded, Colby immediately grabbed onto a couple of rings.
Jay said something and Elton answered, "Oh, we're American. We're very American."
Colby and I sat next to each other and I browsed through Pinterest on my phone, looking at various paintings and possible ideas for art inspiration. Elton said we'd been traveling for 30 hours and none of us had exercised the whole time.
Colby stood up and did a somersault on the rings. Elton said that whoever did the least amount of pull-ups would have to buy dinner. Colby did five, Jay and I did six, and Brennen and Elton did ten. Colby was disappointed that I'd beat him, but also impressed that I did six. I made the point that I worked hard to build up my strength.
We got off the first train and Jay somehow managed to get in trouble with the authorities before we boarded the second train.
When we got off the second train, we headed to the hotel. Elton held up the room key and opened the door. Colby made his way to the window and tried to open it to find out it was stuck.
I looked out across the city and while we were sitting, Elton told the viewers how we'd ended up here. Brennen, Colby, and I had been talking about going somewhere, Elton told us to pick a place, so we picked Tokyo. In a couple days, I would be 20, and I had a feeling the boys were going to celebrate my birthday Japanese style.
Jay suddenly informed us out of the blue that the toilet had an arm, so the boys went to check it out. I didn't go into the bathroom, but did lean against the doorway watching them. They're idiots; I swear. One of the guys thought there was a shower option on the toilet, so Elton said to take our clothes off and step into the shower. Colby and Brennen, the two I expected, began lifting up their shirts.
Colby found a mirror and wondered if Elton could see him, and the answer was yes.
We boarded yet another train and Colby and Brennen were being weird and humping each other. I rolled my eyes and said to the camera, "I hate that this is normal."
Brennen and Colby winked and Colby did another somersault.
We got off our train in downtown Tokyo. Elton kept asking for people to high-five him, but no one would. I saw Mario Kart racing and secretly hoped we'd do it.
Elton pointed to a building and asked, "Colby, Poppy, do you want to do that?"
Colby and I exchanged a look and nodded.
Since we were hungry, we made our way to a restaurant and Elton filmed people dancing. As soon as we were done at the restaurant, we headed back to the hotel to sleep, since we were all exhausted.
Day 2
Today, we would be doing Mario Karting. This will be fun. Brennen and Jay joked that we were in Beijing, not Tokyo.
