They laid their legs out on a blanket and shared another blanket as they ate the soup that Seokjin had so kindly made. It was cold, so the warm soup was great to have, but it also just tasted amazing. Seokjin is so good. Too good.

"You cold?"

Jungkook turned to the older and shrugged. "I feel fine. Soup's good, hyung. You really are a chef, aren't you?"

The older smiled at that. He set his thermos full of soup to the side and then looked up into the night sky, to which the younger followed.

The sky was clear, but it was so cold, and the stars and moon weren't the only light shining down on them. It really felt like they were in their own little world under all the lights.

"Do you wanna see my wolf?"

Jungkook was in the middle of chewing, but his eyes widened and he stopped chewing and went silent after hearing those words coming from Seokjin.

He quickly swallowed as Seokjin glanced at him and chuckled. "You don't have to if you don't want to. I just thought it would be fun to show you."

"I- I do," Jungkook quickly told him. He set his thermos away as well and sat up straighter. "Show me, hyung. I wanna see."

Seokjin didn't hesitate to pull the blanket off of himself and wrap it around Jungkook instead.

"Close your eyes for a bit."

Jungkook, glad that Seokjin could trust him enough to even want to do this, instantly covered his eyes with his hands and held back a bit of a nervous smile.

"Hyung, what if something goes wrong? Are you in control of your wolf or..?"

"Uhm, I am, don't worry. Nothing will go wrong. I'm just gonna show you what I look like, okay?"

"Okay..."

He kept his eyes closed for a bit, but the silence had remained there for most of the time. It was starting to get eerily quiet, but then he heard a slow step in the grass. Still, he held his eyes closed.

It wasn't until he felt something nudge into his shoulder that he removed his hands and opened his eyes to come face-to-face with golden eyes and a big wolf staring back at him.

The wolf was bigger than he thought it would be— he'd never fully learned about wolves like this. His fur was black on top and it faded into light grey towards the bottom. He was so, so pretty.

Again, the wolf nudged Jungkook's arm with his nose.

Jungkook hesitantly held his hand up, but Seokjin wasn't hesitant to push his nose into the hand to ask for petting. The younger eased up as his hand fell through the wolf's fur.

"You're so pretty."

The wolf closed his eyes and basked in the glory of being petted so gently. This was the most that Jungkook had ever touched Seokjin. At all.

He took advantage of that knowledge; he rested down onto the blanket and watched the wolf, which was watching him back with curious eyes.

As soon as Jungkook patted the blanket next to him, the wolf stepped up to him and laid down, content as Jungkook started stroking him more, wrapping his arm around to cuddle.

Though Seokjin said that he had full control of his wolf, the wolf nuzzled into Jungkook's chest and... it seemed different. Jungkook wanted to question Seokjin's words, and he also didn't want to assume that he had lied about it.

But how come the wolf had no problem with showing affection? Seokjin sure as hell never does. He's never touchy or anything like that with Jungkook. And he even always talks about his wolf as if it has a mind of its own! So which is it? Is this Seokjin or is his wolf somehow... different?

Or maybe Seokjin didn't want Jungkook to be scared of the wolf, because even if the wolf is different, it's still a part of Kim Seokjin. He gets that. That's okay.

Werewolves confuse the hell out of Jungkook. For now, not questioning anything would be the safest thing for him to do.
