Chapter 5 - Blood and pain (Bad ending)

David woke up to the sounds of loud booming noises outside of the cabin, he sits up and rubs his eyes as he slowly rises up to look outside the bed window, his eyes flutter open and tries to squint to see. A deafening boom echoed through the cabin, sending him leaping out of bed and stumbling outside, still half-asleep and disoriented. The loud explosion was the car's engine exploding into flames.

His eyes slowly adjusted to the sunlight outside as he surveyed the scene of chaos unfolding before him. Some of  the other campers scrambled around, trying in vain to put out the fire raging within the burning car. Some were panicked and some were laughing. Nerris and Harrison was shouting at each other as they threw buckets of water onto the flames, but it was no use. The fire was spreading too fast, threatening to consume the entire car.

David's heart raced as he watched the campers put out the fire, feeling powerless and helpless as he stood there frozen in shock. He wanted to do something to help, but he had no idea how. He quickly snaps out of it and runs over to grab the water hose. As he sprays the car down, he notices the car... The Rolls Royce Phantom Series II...

David's heart drops as he saw the license plate, it definitely was Daniel's. He turns to Max who was still laughing with Neil and Nikki.

"Maaaaxxxx! Why was Daniel's car LIT ON FIRE?!"

Max tries to contain his laughter and takes a few deep breath's before finally exhaling out.

"Well, D a v i d, We know Daniel is a bad guy, SO! We tricked him into coming over here, using your phone of course! I gave him a quick text to come over for a little fun time-"

David stopped Max in his sentence bending down a little.

"MAX. Where is Daniel?"

"Over there!"

David looks where Max was pointing, Daniel was over on the floor, knocked out, he looked beaten up, and some of his hair was messed up. David rushes over to him gently caressing him.

"Daniel!! Oh my god no no no no no! Oh my god what happened to you..."

David stood up and turns to face everyone, he never looked so pissed off. David's facial expression turned from worried to absolute anger. His face scrunches up and puts his hands in a fist, he slowly tries to breath to keep calm. Gwen rushes out of the cabin and looks around at the mess.

"David? What the fuck is going on?"

David turns to Gwen slowly.

"Gwen... I need to go to the hospital, you watch the kids, and I need to borrow your car, I left mine at the diner this morning..."

Gwen saw Daniel on the floor, she wanted to ask questions, but seeing David face made her stay quiet, she reaches in her pocket and gives David the keys. David leans down and picks up Daniel with ease. Working outside all day has its benefits. He places Daniel in the seat and drives off to the hospital. He rushes him to Emergency care, and waits in the waiting room.

The waiting felt like an eternity, he needed to know how Daniel is. He then sees a doctor walk in and call his name. David rushes over to see Daniel in the hospital bed, his eyes were still shot open, he never seemed to close them, even when he is sleeping he assumed. David walks over to Daniel and sits on a chair, his hand rests on Daniel's, and gently strokes it with his thumb.

"I hope you awake soon... I already miss you..."

David shed a single tear down his face. He gets up and walks out, it's been three days and he was still like this, David visited him everyday to bring him flowers, and to give him a kiss on his forehead. David left and slept out in the waiting room.
