Broken

Behind closed doors, the screams do not stop
The bruises and scars, they never drop
The pain and fear, they suffocate
The ones we love, they dominate

Hollow eyes and broken hearts
Love that tears us apart
Abuse in all its forms, it tears us down
Steals our light, leaving us to drown

We try to stay strong, but it's hard to cling
To the idea that love shouldn't sting
The fear, it grips and strangles
Our voices silenced, our spirits wrangled

We cry out, hoping for relief
But the cycle repeats, beyond belief
Love shouldn't hurt, but we're trapped inside
A prison of fear, shame, and pride

Abuse, it's a monster that knows no bounds
It surrounds our bodies, minds, and souls
Together we must break these chains
So future generations won't feel this pain.
