Chapter 9: Two Years Later
Alan Stewart has gained a lot of recognition for successfully resolving numerous homicide investigations on behalf of the police. After Sam Johnson was discharged from a mental institution, Alan assisted him in securing a job at a hospital. Recognizing that Sam was not inherently malevolent, Alan ensured that he received the necessary support at the mental institution. Although Alan developed feelings for April, he was hesitant to pursue a romantic relationship with a colleague. April's children adored Alan and hoped that their mother and Alan would begin dating. Unfortunately, Alan had experienced a series of unsuccessful relationships with women and never anticipated being single.
Alan believed he would remain married indefinitely. He still has feelings for Stacy and often thinks about her. Martin, on the other hand, was in a relationship with Rachel Lee Baldwin, whom he met while assisting Christopher Singer in proving his sister-in-law's innocence. Rachel Lee eventually relocated to San Francisco to be near Martin, and they began living together. Andrew and Jane, however, remained uninterested in marriage or starting a family. Meanwhile, Alan was keeping up with the news regarding the vampire killings in Seattle, which reminded him of his involvement in that particular case.
Alan was incredulous that the killer had not been apprehended. He eagerly anticipates the swift capture of the vampire killer by the Seattle police. Detective Jason Anderson in Seattle faced difficulties in locating a serial killer believed to be a vampire, but now they are on the hunt for a werewolf. Jason was aware that his sister Jane's boyfriend, David Miller, was the werewolf they were seeking. However, Jason chose not to disclose this information to his fellow officers as he wanted to confirm David's guilt before making an arrest.
"Hello, my name is Detective Jason Anderson. Is this Dr. Alan Stewart?" Jason asks over the phone.
"Yes, this is. What can I help you with?" Alan responds, his voice calm and professional.
Jason takes a deep breath before speaking. "I'm working on a murder case and I heard that you used to be a police officer who investigated cases before becoming a doctor. I was hoping you could help me with this one."
There's a brief silence on the other end of the line before Alan responds. "I'd be happy to help in any way I can. What do you need from me?"
Jason feels a sense of relief wash over him as he explains the details of the case to Alan. He's grateful for the man's expertise and experience, and he's hopeful that they can work together to solve this crime.
Later, Alan and Martin have already arrived in Seattle. Alan saw a man waiting and recognized him as Detective Jason Anderson. Jason walks up to them.
"Hello, I am Detective Jason Anderson. You must be Alan Stewart," Jason questions.
"Yes, I am. This is my brother Martin Stewart and my personal assistant April Maxwell," Alan introduced Martin and April to Jason.
"I am glad you were able to come. Jason replied.
Jason took them to a hotel.
"We can discuss the murder case tomorrow," Jason replied.
