Chapter 13: Clear

Later, Alan went to see Molly. Bree already told Molly about her dad being charged for her and her mother's murder. Molly let Alan in.

"I did not know my dad was in jail. I also did not know they found my mom's body. I thought she ran away with another man. I thought the police would figure out that I ran away and they would not be looking for me," Molly explained. "Your dad was found guilty of murdering you and your mother," Alan explained.

"I do not believe that my dad killed my mom. Dad must have got a bad lawyer," Molly replied.

"Your dad could not afford to get a lawyer. Your dad had a public defender. My friend Christopher Singer is a lawyer and he agreed to help your dad," Alan explained.

"I am glad to hear that. I also can testify that I heard my mom having an argument with someone on the phone. She wanted that person to give her money," Molly explained. "You need to go to the police station and tell them that you are alive," Alan requested.

"I will," Molly agrees.

Alan and Molly visited the police station together. Molly informed the authorities that she was still alive. Hank was no longer suspected of committing one murder. Molly expressed her belief to the police that her father was not responsible for her mother's death. Instead, she suggested that one of her mother's lovers might have been the culprit. Alan proposed the idea of conducting another autopsy on Sandy's body. Molly agreed to this and gave her consent for another examination of her mother's remains. Molly then went to visit her father, and Hank was relieved to see her.

The following day, Alan and Jason joined the rest of the police officers to visit Sandy's burial site. However, upon opening the grave, they discovered that her body was not there. Alan was confused and unaware of the situation. Jason decided to search for the doctor who had conducted the initial autopsy on Sandy, but he was unable to locate the doctor. The name of the doctor who performed the autopsy on Sandy was Randy Kirk. Jason then set out to find a nurse.

"Hello, I am Detective Jason Anderson. I am investigating the murder of Sandy Parker. I know that Dr. Kirk performed an autopsy on Sandy Parker. I need to talk to Dr. Kirk. Do you know where he is?" Jason asks.

"Dr. Kirk does not work here anymore. He is being sued for wrongful death. He drank while operating on a patient name Penny Wilson. Penny dies due to Dr. Kirk's recklessness. I am Nurse Jenny," Jenny introduces herself.

"Do you know where Dr. Kirk lived?" Jason asks.

"Yes, I do," Jenny agrees to give him Dr. Kirk's address.

After Jason left the hospital he went to see Dr. Kirk. Jason saw that Dr. Kirk lived in a big house, but he could tell no one was home. Jason also saw a foreclosure sign next to the house.

Later, after Jason left Dr. Kirk's house, he went to see Tammy. Tammy lived in a not-so-good part of town and was doing some yard work when Jason arrived. "Hi there, I'm Detective Jason Anderson, and I'm investigating Sandy's murder," he said.

Tammy asked if he was also investigating Molly's murder.

"No, actually, Molly is alive and well. She's been living with her boyfriend," Jason replied.

Tammy was relieved to hear that and confessed that she never believed Hank killed Sandy.

"Hank loved Sandy, and I was always jealous of her. Hank was a good guy, and I always ended up with the losers. I thought maybe one of Sandy's other lovers might have killed her," she said.

"Do you know any of Sandy's lovers?" Jason asks.

"Yes, I do. I know one of her lovers. His name is Adam Rule. Sandy told me that Adam was the father of Molly. Sandy was trying to get him to pay child support. Adam is a doctor," Tammy replied.

"Do you think Adam might of kill Tammy?" Jason asks.

"I do not know for sure because Sandy had a lot of lovers. Some of Sandy's lovers were married and she told me that she was blackmailing them," Tammy replied.

"You need to tell the police this," Jason suggests.

"I did tell the police, but they did not listen," Tammy explained.
