Chapter 14: The Truth
Jason and Alan went to talk to Adam Rule the next day.
"Hello, Adam this is Dr. Alan Stewart. We heard that you were having an affair with Sandy Parker," Jason questioned.
"Yes, I was having an affair with Sandy," Adam replied.
"Was she blackmailing you?" Jason asks.
"No, my wife knows about my affairs. She was telling me that I was the father of her daughter and she wanted me to pay child support. I agree to pay the child support if she agrees to a paternity test, but she refuse to," Adam explained.
"I believe you Adam. I do not believe you kill Sandy," Alan replied.
"Do you know Dr. Randy Kirk?" Jason asks Adam.
"Yes, I do. I do not know how that idiot was able to become a doctor. He was always drinking. I am glad he lost his job here," Adam replied.
"How well did you know Dr. Kirk?" Jason asks.
"We were not friends. I could not stand the guy!" Adam replied.
"Thank you for your time," Alan replied.
Jason was thinking of doing a background check on Dr. Kirk and Sandy.
Jason and Alan went back to talk to Tammy.
"Did you know Dr. Randy Kirk?" Jason asks.
"Yes, I did. Dr. Kirk was Sandy's lover," Tammy replied.
"We talk to Adam. He told us he agreed to pay Sandy child support if she agreed to a paternity test, but she refused," Alan replied.
"Do you think Dr. Kirk might have been the father of Molly?" Jason asks.
"I do not know. Sandy had a lot of lovers. Also, Dr. Kirk was broke. Sandy pay for Dr. Kirk to go to medical school," Tammy explained.
Alan and Jason wrap up their conversation with Tammy. Alan call John Hagarty.
"I am helping Detective Jason Anderson on the murder of Sandy Parker. Our main suspect's name is Dr. Randy Kirk. Dr. Kirk and Sandy were lovers. He might have been the father of Sandy's daughter Molly. Also, he is being sued and charged for the wrongful death of a patient he was operated on. He was drunk while doing the surgery. I was wondering if you could do a background check on Dr. Kirk and Sandy Parker," Alan requested.
"I will be glad to help," John agrees.
"I am also helping Jason investigate a serial killer. We do not know if a werewolf or vampire is doing the killing. I do not think it is vampires or werewolves who are doing these killings. I think the killer is trying to make it look like vampires or werewolves are killing people. I thought you can do a background check on the murder victims too," Alan requested.
"Yes, I will do a background check on the murder victims," John agrees.
"Thank you," Alan replied.
Alan told Jason that a friend of his named John Hagarty was going to do a background check on Dr. Kirk, Sandy, and the other murder victims. Jason was glad to get more help on the two murder cases.
A week later, it did not take John too long to do a background check on Dr. Kirk, Sandy, and the other murder victims. John call Alan.
"Dr. Kirk's real name is Danny Miles. Danny was a doctor. Ten years ago, in Boston Danny was being sued for wrongful death. The man he was operating on was Sean Hills. Sean was in a car accident. Danny was drunk while he was operating on Sean. Sean's parents were suing the hospital and Danny for wrongful death. Danny was facing a lot of jail time too. Danny fakes his death by jumping off of a bridge.
The police could not find Danny's body. They put out an arrest warrant on Danny. Also, Danny Miles is married to Sandy Parker, but her name is Sandy Brown. Sandy was a prostitute when she met Danny. Danny is Molly's father. The second murder case. A man named Roy Jackson was charged with murdering four wives. The jury found him guilty. You are right it is not a vampire or werewolf committing these murders. The murder victims were witnesses, juries, the judge, and the prosecutor in Roy's trial. Roy was killed by another inmate in prison. Roy's son Peter committed suicide and he left a note confessing to being the vampire killer.
Peter believes his father was innocent and he believes his father was set up. Peter blames his victims for his father's death," John got through explaining.
Alan contacted Jason and shared with him the information he received from John regarding Danny and Sandy. Additionally, Alan informed Jason that Peter Jackson was the vampire killer. Alan expressed his belief to Jason that Sandy is still alive and revealed that she had a life insurance policy worth one million dollars. Randy Kirk, who claims to be Sandy's brother, received the entire sum of money. Alan shared his suspicion with Jason that Danny and Sandy fled the country with the money.
