(Thank you so much to @creepypastalover4911 for coming up with a nickname for Ukraine! It's cute!)
The second Canada got home, he remembered to call Ukraine.
Of course he did. His friend walked up to him and gave him her number when she could. She said she wanted to talk.
"Belarus always gardens her potatoes, Russia's annoying, and Kazakhstan, I don't even know what he does, but he always leaves us and goes outside, also taking the car with him." She had told him. "It gets boring."
"Oh. Well then, I'll call you later!" Canada told her.
Sure enough, he remembered. Canada heard Ukraine pick up the phone.
"Hi, this is Ukraine."
Right. She didn't know this was Canada calling.
"Hi Ukraine! It's Canada. I figured you'd want to talk."
"Oh, hi Nada! How are you?" Ukraine asked.
"Good."
So on their conversation went. After a while, Ukraine had to stop the call, but not before saying they could talk in Art tomorrow. Canada set his phone down and sighed. He went off to get ready for bed and fall asleep.

After quickly getting ready in the morning, he was off to school with his siblings. Ame chattered about how he had a new friend, who he did not reveal the name of. Australia and New Zealand teased him for it.
"So you're outgoing and all, but you won't tell us the name of your friend?" Aussie teased.
America sighed, "I just don't want to say it because I want to respect his privacy."
New Zealand squealed, "You said his. That means your friends a boy! That narrows down our options!"
Ame sighed, "I shouldn't talk anymore or else you'll figure it out."
Australia giggled, "Yeah, 'cause we're awesome detectives, mate. By the way, what classes do you two share? Living Skills with African Union?"
Silence.
"I was correct!" Australia announced, while Zea started giggling again.
"Shut up!"
Canada sighed. Just a normal day.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"So... Ukraine?"
"Yes?" Ukraine turned to face Canada, "Do you need anything?"
"Could I introduce you to a friend?" He asked.
"Sure!" She exclaimed, "It'd be nice to know some more people."
They were in art class again, and they had time to spare. The bell hadn't rung, so they got a few minutes of free time. Canada waved at a Red, White and Blue country (that was not one of his siblings) over. The tricolored country had horizontal stripes, and they had a pinkish-red scarf around their neck.
"Ukraine, this is my friend, Netherlands. Netherlands, this is Ukraine." Canada introduced the two countries to each other.
"Hi!" Netherlands shyly waved.
"Hi, Netherlands. Nice to meet you." Ukraine waved back, but less shy.
"You can call me Neth, y'know." He replied.
"Oh, okay."
The bell hadn't rang still, so they decided to chat a little. Neth seemed interested in Ukraine's flower crown.
"Ooh. It's pretty." Neth poked it in awe.
Canada giggled, "Ukraine, do you want to teach me and Neth how to make flower crowns after school?"
"Sure." Ukraine's eyes gleamed.
Neth looked at the two countries, then promptly left with a smirk on his face. Canada looked at him. What was up with him?
Class flew by, as usual, and this time, EAC remembered to warn them before the bell rang. Netherlands walked up to them.
"Why'd you leave?" Canada asked Neth.
"I didn't want to be an extra third party." he replied back.
"Oh, you're not that, don't worry!" Ukraine told him.
"I agree with Ukraine." Nada piped up.
Neth shook his head and sighed, "You two are so oblivious."
"To what?" They both asked at the same time.
"Nothing."
Ukraine decided to ignore that, and focus on just how tall Netherlands was, "How come you're so tall? You're even taller than my brother!"
Netherlands shrugged, "I'm not sure. As I grew older, my height just, well, how do I say it? Exploded?"
Ukraine sort of understood.
Canada asked Neth, "Does it ever get annoying? Being so tall?"
Neth shrugged again, "If I'm talking to certain people, yes. It depends on the heights. Being 6"2 has some disadvantages." (6"2 = 187.96 Cm I'm American okay? Feet and Inches has been set as my default.)
Canada seemed interested, but then the bell rang.
"I'd better get to my next class." Neth said, before saying goodbye and leaving them.
"I should too." Ukraine mentioned, "Bye, Nada."
"Bye, Rainey!" Canada replied.
Both went their ways, though Ukraine was fiddling with her dress as she left. Canada wondered why, and then realized.
He called her "Rainey."
