Two days later
Daniel was sound asleep while Tails was making breakfast as Sonic walked up to the house and knocked, Tails quickly answered to make sure Daniel doesn't wake up and let him in
Tails:let's try to not wake Daniel up ok
Sonic nodded and informed him that he's close to finding Eggman and metal sonic so that they can get out of "hedgehog protection" as Sonic called it and left and then Daniel walked into the kitchen
Daniel's pov
Daniel:morning,hey Sonic leaving already
Sonic:yeah Tails will fill you in
I went after him and used my speed to get in front of him and he stopped running
Daniel:Sonic please wait,I need to know did I are we
He hugged to calm me down
Sonic:it's ok I understand (Let's go)you didn't do anything wrong ok,we're still bros I just need to hurry and take care of metal sonic and egghead so you and Tails are safe
I nodded and fistbumped him and went back inside to Tails who challenged me to chess after breakfast and of course it's on then a few hours later me and Tails were watching a movie while eating a bowl of chili then we we cuddled on the couch while watching green lantern the series when I fell asleep
Tail's pov
I noticed my husband fell asleep and it was getting late so I woke him up enough to get him to bed and I cuddled him till I fell asleep
The next morning
I woke up and did my morning routine and before I could even bring breakfast to Daniel he snuck up behind me and turned me around for a good morning kiss and smiled at me
Daniel:morning furball
Tails:morning wolf pup,you must of slept well
He nodded and kissed me passionately
After breakfast I was on the couch with my husband laying in my lap watching TV
Daniel:wait so even though the killer went right past him they still don't know it was him
Tails:yep pretty much so your really into this aren't you babe
Daniel:I guess or I'm just enjoying my time with you Tails because I love you
Tails:love you too Daniel
Knock knock knock
Me and Daniel looked at each other then the door knowing that no one should be here at this time
Daniel's pov
Daniel:wander who it is when we're not expecting anyone at 8pm
Tails went to answer the door when I saw him get grabbed so I used my speed to run at metal sonic and save Tails but it threw him and I pushed metal to the ground and saved my husband before he hit the ground and as I caught him I heard a gunshot and felt pain in my back and everything went black
