Steve and Eddie's conversations at the locker became a daily routine for them. The more that Steve talked to Eddie, the more he realized how much he actually enjoyed spending time with him.
They started having more in-depth conversations about their lives, which cemented their friendship. They started opening up to each other even more, revealing hopes and fears that they had never talked about with anyone else even though they only started talking for a couple weeks.
Steve felt that he could share just about anything with Eddie, who always listened to him without judgement. Eddie was a really good listener, and Steve appreciated how much he could confide in him.
Through their conversations, Steve had started to see Eddie as more than just a way to win the bet. Eddie was a fascinating and intriguing guy, and Steve couldn't help but be captivated by him.
Steve was slowly realizing the depth of Eddie's character and could see the potential of a real relationship between them even though it still scares him to think that. As each day passed, Steve became more and more attracted to Eddie.
As Steve's admiration for Eddie grew, he knew that it had transformed from a stupid little bet made by his obnoxious friends into something more meaningful, a feeling that he couldn't ignore. He had started to see Eddie as more than just a friend, someone he wanted to get closer to, and maybe even pursue a relationship with. But he knows that it's all just a bet it's not real and it probably won't last after the month is over but Steve can't help but have a little hope that it could last. But even if it didn't at least he could relish in it for now.
