Mizuki glanced at the sunrise, somehow feeling troubled,
the pain in their heart immensely doubled
They truly missed Ena and her antics,
so when they separated, Mizuki became frantic
The good memories were still there,
but they were being covered by a shadowy flare
Mizuki's friendship with Ena meant everything to them,
yes, they'll see each other again -- but when?
As Mizuki tailored a new outfit,
they wondered if Ena was shaken from the hard hit
Of terror
Sure, they couldn't see each other as of now,
but Mizuki didn't worry too much -- they didn't know how
Their secret locked, hidden away
was not the issue
Ena herself had admitted,
"I'll wait for you."
That alone was proof enough,
of her tough kindness
Mizuki sighed once, tailoring the dress
Although their life was mess, the same cannot be said
about their levels of stress
Thanks to Ena, Mizuki has yet to break
Thanks to Mizuki, Ena has yet to break
But they won't
Besides, there was still a lot to do in life,
so why would Mizuki (or Ena) try to make do with a knife?
That would only create strife, and nothing else
Mizuki had made their decision long ago,
to keep enjoying themselves,
and not let their pain show
as much as possible
Ena was the same way with her art
Any place to start
was good enough
Mizuki knew life was fine,
since Mafuyu's life wasn't on the line
anymore
Kanade was happy too, they definitely knew,
because her father returned to her,
and that alone made Mizuki smile
Yes, everything is different now,
but Mizuki wanted to embrace it
since things could be worse
Like them and Ena
The tailoring was done
but now the sun was flying home
It was so late
but not too late
Mizuki set aside the tailoring kit and newly made clothes,
wondering what Ena was doing -- nobody knows
They had sent her a message, and she had replied
even though it was getting late -- the sun had died
They wanted to do more for Ena
and themselves
Mizuki sat at their desk and decided to draw,
It didn't feel like much to them, but hopefully they saw
how hard they were trying
They compiled everything into once piece, and set aside some warm lace and fleece
They added some memorable photos and stickers,
the pain trying to grow thicker, but Mizuki wouldn't let it
They tied the ribbon, so now it was done
It was a scrapbook filled with precious everythings
It really wasn't just for Ena only, but Mizuki wanted to keep her happy
They wanted a lot of things
Ena being happy
To enjoy life to its fullest
life continuing as it was
Mizuki snapped a picture of the scrapbook and sent it to Ena,
Another message before bedtime, but it gave Mizuki the night
To reflect
And protect
who and what they truly cared about
As Mizuki cleaned up, they stared out the window
with a vivid smile
at the starry night sky
They didn't bother to ask why -- there was no need
Life always did as it pleased
What's the point of asking for answers that they'd never get?
As if they wanted answers from life, anyway
Things were fine now, and Mizuki knew that might change
in a heartbeat,
But then they would adapt accordingly
For now, they decided to appreciate everything
for what it was.
