Freezer (🏐)

Inspired by emo_the_emu thank you so much for letting me do my own take on this in a Haikyuu scenario! ☺

This story takes place where Hinata has a job at a fast food place, what happens when Hinata gets stuck in the freezer all night? And Tsukishima comes to open the next morning...

The story is going to start as a forward where Tsukishima arrives.

Tsukishima arrived to open the store in the morning, usually he skips work but today he had to come in and noticed some workers stuff already there, which was weird since the doors were locked.

Tsukishima also noticed Hinata's car in the parking lot.

The night before, Hinata was on closing, he was checking the freezer before he was going to leave through the back door, he had already locked up the front.

Hinata knew there was a timer on the freezer that would close at a certain time of night, Hinata tried to keep track of the time.

But he was too late, Hinata heard the door click, he rushed to the door, his phone and other belongings were outside the door.

Hinata knew he was alone, no help would come, but Hinata screamed and screamed and hoped someone would hear. His throat going dry and his body shivering.

Hinata knew some meat was fresh, he had some brain cells, so he grabbed the meat out of the packets, and placed them over his body, knowing the meat would freeze, but kept him warm some.

Hinata cried, by 3 am Hinata was barely conscious, he banged on the door, his hands bleeding as he tried to pry at the door, trying to activate the sensors of the freezer.

Hinata really thought that freezer's need to have a sensor inside in case someone gets stuck in there. Guess nobody should get stuck in the freezer.

Hinata barely hung onto his consciousness, he looked at his watch, the cold had frozen over the time, so Hinata had no idea how long he had been in here for.

Hinata begged for help, crying and praying, he wasn't religious, but he prayed, prayed that someone would come and save him from the cold of the freezer.

Hinata's hands were already black and numb, he pried at the door once again, he gasped for air.

Hinata suddenly felt warm, he knew that he was delusional from the cold, but he felt warm, he hugged himself tight, closing his eyes slowly.

'' Hinata!! ''

Hinata barely heard a voice, he was barely conscious, his body shivering violently and his hands completely black.

Tsukishima called 911, rushing over to Hinata, he brought Hinata out of the freezer and quickly placed Hinata by an open oven that he turned on.

'' Hey Hinata hang in there! Hello?! Hello, my friend Hinata! He was stuck in a freezer... all night! He's freezing, possibly hypothermia... no 100%! ''

Tsukishima explained to the dispatcher on the phone, the dispatcher asked Tsukishima to check for a pulse.

Tsukishima checked, only barely was there a beating from Hinata's chest, but there was a beating! Tsukishima explained to the dispatcher, they said an ambulance is near.

Once the ambulance got there, Hinata was taken on a stretcher into the ambulance, Tsukishima called Kageyama as he went on the ambulance too.

'' Kageyama get your ass to work, I'm going to the hospital. Hinata was stuck in the freezer all night! ''

Tsukishima didn't let Kageyama answer and hung up the phone. Hinata was covered in thermal blankets and hooked up to the IV bags.

As soon as they were at the hospital Hinata was taken away, Tsukishima was so worried, he sat there for an hour, no news...

Another hour, no news, Tsukishima was worried Hinata was dead.

Tsukishima had fallen asleep, when he woke up a doctor was tapping his shoulder.

'' Excuse me, are you here for Shoyo Hinata? ''

Tsukishima rubbed his eyes, nodding at the doctors words.

'' Yes I am... is he okay? ''

The doctor gave a frown, that couldn't be good news.

'' Well, he's alive... but in bad shape, we cannot tell when he is going to wake up... he's in a coma, due to hypothermia. ''

The doctor explained, Tsukishima was shocked, he wasn't sure what to say, he cursed to himself, blaming himself for not getting there earlier.

Tsukishima also felt horrible because he almost skipped out on work, Hinata could be dead, Tsukishima would have blamed himself forever.

The doctor allowed Tsukishima to see Hinata, Tsuki went to Hinata's room, seeing him covered in blankets and hooked up to all the IV's and heart machine. Tsukishima's heart ached at the sight, Hinata's heart was barely beating.

Tsukishima sat down by the hospital bed, holding Hinata's barely working hand, would Hinata ever be able to play Volleyball again, Tsukishima knew Hinata would be so upset.

A few days passed, Hinata was awake! Tsukishima rushed to the hospital to visit, he had Hinata's stuff, some new clothes for him and his phone.

Tsuki rushed in the room, Hinata was holding onto the rails as a doctor was helping him try and walk, Hinata's legs and feet were numbed completely in the freezer.

'' Hey Hina. ''

Tsuki said softly, Hinata looked at Tsukishima, his eyes watering.

'' You saved me, Thank you. ''

Hinata said quietly, giving a very weak smile.

Tsuki shook his head.

'' Please don't mention it, I'm glad to see you awake now! I was so worried about you. ''

Tsuki said.

Months later Hinata was better, struggling to use his hands, but Tsuki was there every step of the way to help Hinata back on his feet.

So sorry, the story didn't go how I wanted, I lost motivation and was worried I couldn't make a good story. 😅
