Deku was born quirkless, but he dreamed of being a hero. Katsuki Bakugou was Deku's best friend, but when he got his amazing explosion quirk, he started to act weird.

Bakugou started to bully Deku because despite the fact that Deku was quirkless, Bakugou was jealous of how Deku always tried to help everyone no matter how weak he was.

Bakugou hated this. He hated how Deku still kept fighting despite him being quirkless. Deku wanted to be a hero no matter what, and Bakugou felt that Deku had no chance of being a hero with how weak he was.

After hearing that Deku wanted to go to UA High, Bakugou was pissed. Bakugou smirked, grabbing Deku's notebook full of hero notes.

" You really think you could be a hero without a quirk?! "

Bakugou laughed, using his explosions on Deku's notebook, then throwing it out the window.

" I'll tell you this now, Deku. Give up on trying to be a hero. You'll never be one. "

Bakugou smirked as he walked away and before he left the room.

" Oh, I know. Why don't you hope that you have a quirk in your next life... and take a swandive off the roof of the building. "

Bakugou laughed, walking out of the room. Deep down inside, Bakugou didn't actually mean those words. They came out like word vomit, spilling out of his mouth. Bakugou didn't actually think Deku would act on those words.

Deku took those words to heart, laughing softly as he went up the stairs to the roof of the building. Bakugou couldn't help but worry, walking up to the roof just in case since he knew Deku was always so sensitive.

Bakugou opened the door to the roof and stopped in his tracks as he saw Deku standing on the edge of the roof.

" Deku, wait!! "

Bakugou yelled, running over to Deku in an attempt to stop him from jumping, but he made it too late. Deku stepped off the edge and fell.

Bakugou screamed out loud as he had just missed Deku's hand, and he watched as Deku fell, his body slamming onto the ground as blood spattered everywhere.

Bakugou's eyes widened as he stared at Deku's dead body, bones shattered and sticking out of the body and blood everywhere on the floor. Bakugou covered his mouth, dropping to his knees.

" Deku no..."

Bakugou muttered. He watched as the police and ambulance showed up, and the school was closed down for a week. Bakugou was given extra time off due to the fact that he witnessed the suicide incident.

Bakugou didn't tell anyone that he was the reason for Deku committing suicide. Nobody knew, and Bakugou couldn't bring himself to tell anyone because he was afraid of the consequences.

So Bakugou stayed quiet.

Bakugou got into his hero uniform, Aizawa didn't tell the class what they were doing today, so Bakugou was just going along with the day as it happened.

Bakugou found it annoying how they were just going to random middle schools until he realised they were going around to everyone's old middle school to see where they originated from.
