When Hinata was a baby, he would suffer convulsion seizures. His mother immediately took him to the hospital, and the doctors diagnosed Hinata with Epilepsy.

His mother made sure he was never exposed to triggers that would cause his seizures.

But once Hinata got into middle school, he wanted to do volleyball after seeing the tiny giant on TV. Hinata's mother refused to let him, but Hinata wouldn't take no for an answer.

So they went to the doctors, and the doctor prescribed medication that would reduce Hinata's likeliness to seizures. However, Hinata was to take this medication on a daily basis.

So Hinata set alarms and all to start taking the medication on time each morning. He managed to keep a consistent routine of taking his medication, and finally, his mother let him start playing volleyball.

Hinata never had any issues with his seizures, maybe a few absent seizures here and there, but never as bad as how he had when he was a baby.

Once high school started, Hinata had a new set goal to beat Kageyama Tobio. When he entered the gym, he was shocked and pissed to see the person whom he wanted to defeat.

" Why are you here?! "

Hinata yelled.

And there started a confusing friendship of a self-centred setter and an energetic spiker. For some reason, they both made a good team together, and they became an unstoppable duo.

After they had lost against Aoba Josai in the spring preliminaries, they all had a newfound motivation to beat Aoba Josai and beat Oikawa.

That's when they learnt they would be going to Tokyo for a training camp with Nekoma and other powerhouse schools.

But first, they had to pass their final exams. Hinata was getting quite stressed out about that. His routine was being put in a slight predicament.

Hinata failed his exam, as well as Kageyama, Hinata, was so stressed on the day of his makeup exam that he forgot to take his medication in the morning.

Hinata finished his makeup exam, and Saeko drove him and Kageyama to the training camp, Hinata was so excited when they arrived as he and Kageyama stood beside each other, looking like the main characters.

Hinata's head was slightly fuzzy, but he didn't think much of it. He thought maybe he just had too much excitement.

The only person who knows about Hinata's seizures is Kenma. When Hinata first met Kenma, they hit it off as friends, and Hinata became close enough to tell Kenma that he suffered from seizures.

Hinata had done a few quicks with Kageyama, but his footwork was starting to get slow. Kageyama set the ball to Hinata, and he jumped up.

Everyone was silent in shock as they watched Hinata's body hit the ground and start convulsing. Kenma was about to set the ball on his own court when he saw Hinata, Kenma ignored the ball and rushed to Hinata.

" Shoyo! "

Kenma said with concern. Hinata's head was hitting the ground with each shake that his body made, Kenma quickly placed his hands under Hinata's head to stop him from hurting himself anymore.

" Someone get a pillow and some water!! "

Kenma yelled.

" Hinata, can you hear me? "

Kenma asked, knowing Hinata probably wasn't present while he was seizing, but he knew he had to ask.

Hinata's body slowly started to shake less and was now lifeless on the floor. He made no movements.

Kenma moved Hinata onto his side, holding Hinata's head in his hands.

" Hina? Hina? Are you with me? "

Kenma asked. Coach Ukai brought a pillow while Tsukishima brought a water bottle to Hinata.

Hinata's eyes barely opened before he shut his eyes tight, the light bothering him.

" K-Kenma? "

Hinata choked out. He felt so embarrassed seizing in front of everyone.

" It's okay, I'm here, Hinata. Just take it easy, okay? "

Hinata was still quite disoriented. However, he started to cry. He was so embarrassed, realising that he had forgotten to take his medication in the morning.

" Hinata? Come on.. let's get you someplace to rest. "

Tsukishima stepped forward.

" I can carry him. "

Tsukishima said he used to suffer absent seizures when he was younger, but he mostly grew out of it, but he knew what it was like to seize.

Tsukishima picked up Hinata in his arms and carried him to the futon room. Kenma followed behind them. He set up the futon, and Tsukishima placed Hinata down.

" How embarrassing.."

Hinata mutters.

" It's not embarrassing Hinata. You can't control it. Nobody is mad at you. "

Tsukishima said, Kenma nods in agreement.

" Yeah, he's right, Hinata, you had no control over it. And don't blame yourself for not taking your medication. You've been probably very stressed out. "

Kenma said reassuringly. Hinata sipped on some water and looked at them both.

" Thank you..."

Hinata said softly. Tsukishima pat his head.

" Get some rest stupid. You can play again when we come back. And I'll remind you to take your medication. "

Tsuki said before he left the room. Kenma kissed Hinata's cheek.

" Rest easy, okay? I'll be back later. "

Kenma left the room, too.

Later, Hinata felt better, and he called his mom to come and bring his medication. Hinata's mom was worried as she brought him his medication, and she soothed him, knowing he was probably scared and embarrassed.

" Oh, Hinata, poor baby. Are you sure you don't want to go home? "

She asked. Hinata shook his head, taking his medication.

" No thanks, mom, I want to keep playing. "

Hinata's mom sighed in defeat, knowing she could never stop Hinata from playing.

Hinata's mom decided to stay and help the managers take care of the cleaning and filling up water bottles.

Hinata went back to the gym, his hair slightly dishevelled. The whole Karasuno team swarmed Hinata asking if he was okay.

Hinata rubbed the back of his neck.

" Y-Yeah, I'm okay, guys... sorry for worrying you. "

Hinata said nervously. Tsukishima laughs.

" Yeah, he's a tough cookie. He won't give up that easy. "

Tsukishima said mockingly. Hinata glared at Tsukishima before looking back at the rest of the team.

" Let's finish the match! I'm ready to play again! "

Hinata said. The team all yelled in excitement, and they played against Nekoma.
