Kageyama lives alone, his parents are dead, and his older sister lives by herself in France. So Kageyama is all by himself even though he's only a high school first year.

Some days, Kageyama gets pretty lonely. He hopes that maybe his sister will come back or that his parents would one day appear at the door, but Kageyama knows that's never going to happen.

Kageyama walks to school every day. His house is only a 10 minute walk from Karasuno, so he takes a walk every morning for fresh air and then heads straight to morning practice.

Kageyama doesn't have much money and works a part-time job at a bar. He is too young for that kind of job, but it's the only job he was accepted for because the owner was creepy.

Kageyama would quit, but this is the only job that he can get, and the money that his sister sends is only enough to cover the rent of the house, it's never enough for him to get groceries. So he has to make his own money.

Kageyama keeps this job hidden from his classmates and the volleyball team because he doesn't want anyone to think that he's some kind of delinquent or a slut.

Kageyama only manages to get 3 hours of sleep each night because he works such late shifts, and then he has to go to school like nothing else is happening in his life. It's exhausting, and sometimes he wishes it could all get better.

This particular night, Kageyama was asked to come in early for a shift, so he had to skip afternoon practice and head straight to work after school. Normally, Kageyama doesn't start his shifts until much later.

Kageyama went through the back door of the bar, already wearing his uniform as he closed the door behind him.

" Kageyama, there is a special guest that has requested to see you. He saw you a few nights ago and hasn't been able to get you out of his mind. Would you be a dear and go tend to this man tonight? "

Kageyama nodded his head, tying up his uniform and combing his hair back as he went out to the bar area where he saw a familiar man waiting. This man had been here a few nights ago and was a little too touchy for Kageyama's liking.

Kageyama walked over to the man and bowed his head.

" Good evening, sir. may I get you a drink? "

Kageyama asked, a smile on his face. The man smirked ever so slightly as he raised his hand to caress Kageyama's rosy cheek with his thumb.

" Yes darling, that would be lovely. Go get yourself a drink while you're at it? Perhaps a cocktail? "

Kageyama shook his head.

" No, thank you, I'm too young to drink. "

The man frowned, his eyes narrowing as he pinched Kageyama's cheek with his fingers, looking over at Kageyama's manager.

" I suppose I could just tell your manager that you aren't satisfying me. It would be such a shame if he were to fire you. "

Kageyama's eyes widened as he sighed softly. He nodded his head as he went behind the counter and got the man his usual drink, placing it down before preparing himself a cocktail that was full of sugar.
