Tsukishima didn't grow up with his mother and older brother. He grew up with his abusive father, who was kicked out of the picture from his mother when he cheated. Tsukishima was unlucky to be living with him.

Tsukishima grew up being beaten by his father if he ever failed at anything, that's why Tsukishima has to be perfect at everything, and why he doesn't have many friends.

Tsukishima was pretty rude as a kid. He indirectly made fun of other kids to stop himself from being bullied.

Tsukishima didn't want anyone else to hurt him. He hated his father and everyone else.

When he met Tadashi, he was confused, but for some reason, Tsukishima defended Tadashi when he was getting bullied. That's how Tadashi started to be Tsuki's best friend.

Tsukishima couldn't stop it, Tadashi was determined to make Tsukishima his bff. That's what happened. Tadashi followed Tsukishima everywhere and even joined volleyball because that's what Tsuki did.

Tsukishima was still quite rude to Tadashi, always telling him to shut up and stop being an idiot, but Tsukishima never wanted to hurt Tadashi's feelings.

They went through elementary, middle, and then into high school together. Tadashi was Tsuki's only friend, one and only friend.

Tsuki's father continued to belittle him, even more so as he grew older, and now that Tsukishima grew older, his father decided to pimp him out to random men and women.

Tsukishima became quite void of emotions. He couldn't feel anymore. He was giving up on life. He didn't want to suffer anymore from his father's abuse.

Tsukishima was walking home late at night from a random guys house. He was freezing cold and in a lot of pain after being assaulted roughly by the man.

Tsukishima tried to wrap his barely covering jacket over his body to keep him even the slightest bit warm, but no luck, he was so cold.

Tsukishima turned the corner, and his house was too far away, and he was refused money for a taxi, so he had to walk for miles.

When he turned the corner, he ran into someone. Tsukishima stopped in his tracks, thinking that this person would hurt him.

" Are you okay? "

The voice asked. Tsukishima looked at the slightly shorter person who he bumped into.

" Y- sorry.."

Tsuki said quietly. Suna stared at Tsukishima, looking him up and down, his eyes widening.

" Shit! You must be freezing! "

Suna took off his volleyball jacket and placed it around Tsukishima's shoulders.

" Do you need help? "

Suna asked. Tsukishima stared at him. He dropped to his knees and gripped onto Suna's legs.

" Please... please don't let me go back there.."

Tsukishima begged. Suna grimaced for a moment, only wondering what this poor boy had been put through.

" It's okay, calm down. How old are you? "
