When Kaminari was a young boy, he always admired heroes and his parents, who were electricians due to their quirks. They weren't big flashy heroes at all, but in Kaminari's eyes, they were the biggest heroes of all.

Kaminari's parents both had electric type quirks, and they knew that Kaminari would likely inherit a powerful electric type quirk.

Kaminari was 4 years old when he was swimming in a public pool. He splashed around in the water, playing with his friends as they all had a lot of fun.

Kaminari felt a sneeze coming on, so he covered his nose. Suddenly, a big flash of bright light surrounded him as he sneezed.

Kaminari rubbed his nose, and as he looked up, he noticed his friends were laying lifeless in the pool, foam coming out of their mouths.

Kaminari's eyes widened in shock as he covered his mouth. He looked around to see everyone in the pool lifeless. Kaminari's parents were screaming at Kaminari to leave the pool.

" Kaminari! Get out of the pool! "

Kaminari scrambled for the edge of the pool, pulling himself up and out of the water as quickly as humanly possible.

Kaminari looked at the pool with wide eyes, covering his mouth as he stared at all the lifeless bodies that were foaming from the mouth.

Tears fell down Kaminari's cheeks as he vomited on the floor, his whole body trembling with fear as he heard the police sirens in the distance.

Once the police arrived, his parents were explaining the situation while the paramedics took the dead bodies out of the pool one by one. None of them were alive.

Kaminari was still sitting on the ground, violently shaking in fear as he watched the paramedics take the dead bodies. He could hear the cries of the families that had just lost their loved ones in this freak accident.

Kaminari was taken to the police station for questioning and to the hospital to make sure he wasn't hurt either. Discovering that he had an electricity quirk was the least of his worries. He wasn't even excited. He was horrified.

As Kaminari grew older, he stayed away from bodies of water. He couldn't even shower very often because the water scared him half to death, and taking a bath was out of the question.

When Kaminari started high school, he had mostly forgotten about his past trauma, though it was definitely still there, and he was still terrified of the water.

Class 1A decided that before their training camp, they would all have a day at the pool to have some fun!

Kaminari tried to avoid going since he knew he wouldn't have a good time. He just wanted to stay in the dorms and relax.

But to no avail, Kirishima had dragged him along. So Kaminari just decided to stay in his clothes, sitting on one of the chairs while everyone else had fun in the pool.

" Kaminari! Come on, my dude! Get in the pool! "

Kirishima yelled, running over to Kaminari, who just shook his head.

" No thanks, I'm okay here. "

Kirishima groaned, rolling his eyes as he grabbed Kaminari's hand and pulled him out of the chair he was sitting in.

" No way! You are missing out on all the fun! "

Kirishima picked up Kaminari over his head and was about to throw him into the pool. Kami's eyes widened as he screamed in fear, kicking around in Kirishima's arms.
