Chap 18 : New Girl in Town

Joshua pov.

"Ughh" I groaned as the sunlight hit my face because of the skylight. I slowly opened my eyes and I noticed that I was alone. Where did Dk go?

I picked up my phone and beside it was a note. I was about to call Dk but then the noted stopped me.

"I'm sorry I had a something to do so I just left you sleeping because you looked so peaceful.
P.s. your girlfriend called you and told me to tell you. Give her a call back and explain your accident." The note says. I was shocked at the sudden news. I have a girlfriend? What is he talking about? Fuck is he angry? I thought to myself.

I looked at my phone and there was indeed a call. I looked at the name and it was just a heart emoji. I didn't think about this at first but it was the mystery contact I have. I tried calling Dk first to ask where he was but there was no cell reception in his side. It keeps going to voicemail. Then I called Boo.

"Yup? What's up?" He answered right away.

"Sorry to disturb you but have you seen Dk?" I asked curiously.

"Nope, you guys haven't been home since last night! What have you done to my best friend!" He shouted all of a sudden and I heard someone complained that he was so loud in the morning.

"Relax! We just slept. Or at-least I did... but he's not here anymore and I can't contact him. And I'm pretty sure he left before morning." I said and then Boo started being silent.

"Let me try calling him. I'll update you if I get a hold of him. But he's probably just wandering around there. Just look for him there." He suggested and I agreed and said goodbye. I hang up the phone and started looking for him outside the cabin.

I have trued circling the place two times already and I'm now 100% sure he's not here. I tried calling him again and then there was no answer again. I then saw the heart emoji and thought about calling it to finally know what was happening.

I pushed the call button and my heartbeat increased. The ringing was making this more of a torture than the actual call.

"Hello??" I suddenly said in panic as I realized the call was answered. Then there was a sudden scream and I put the phone away from my ear in shock.

"Joshua? Is that really you!? It's been so long!!! How are you? Why haven't you visited me already? I feel so lonely here." She suddenly started talking and then I almost hung up the phone but then she stopped.

"I'm really sorry but I have no idea who you are." I said frankly.

"What do you mean.... Is this one of your jokes that I don't get but still find it pretty funny because your cute?"  She said and laughed nervously.

"I'm really sorry, I seriously don't know." I said honestly.

"What why? It's Yujin. You bestest girl." She suddenly said trying to emphasize every syllable.

"I'm sorry. I happen to have an accident. My friend told me that I needed to tell you. I have suffered temporary trauma in my head that cause me to lose most of my memories. I haven't been able to recognize most of the people close to me, so I probably don't know you" I told her and there was no answer on the other line for about 10 seconds. I was worried she was gonna get angry but then I heard her breathe out.

"Where are you? I'll go to there." She said. Then I was confused if I should tell her or not. I don't even technically know her. But in the end I sent her my home address because she kept insisting.

I went home to continue to look for Dk but all I found there was Vernon. Boo also went home to get some stuff and I told Vernon about this so called girlfriend.
