Chapter 24: Pet Names

Dokyeom pov.

"I wonder what happened to Vernon and Boo." I suddenly said to Joshua as I was fixing up his things to be discharged.

"Why??" He asked innocently as he folded his own blankets.

"Well Boo left me a very weird voice message." I told him as I showed him my phone so that we both can hear it.

Dk! I'm literally dying right now! I want the world to swallow me whole and never bring me back. Tell Joshua I'm so sorry! It just happened! I don't know what happened actually I do but I totally didn't mean it. I hate it so muchhhhhhhhhh. Huhuhhhu

"What's weird about that?" Joshua suddenly asked as he gave me a back hug and I just let him.

"I know he's so over dramatic all the time but can you sound more concerned about this.." I told him and he looked at me as I faced him from the side.

"Really? Maybe he just wanted to see you." He asked.

"I don't think so, why don't you ask your brother, they are probably together and he's not answering his phone now" I suggested.

"Right, I'm calling him now." He said as he grabbed his phone and put it in his ears. He then grabbed the bag I was fixing and we walked together out of the hospital. I said my goodbyes to Joshua's doctors and they nodded in return.

"No answer?" I asked Joshua as I noticed that his phone is still ringing.

"Nah... but maybe he's at work." He said as he went to the driver's seat door.

"What do you think you're doing?" I suddenly asked and then he looked at me weirdly.

"Duh, we are going home so I'm driving." He said. Then I looked at him as if he was crazy. Is he seriously thinking he's gonna drive? What if he pass out again. I'm more worried about myself than him. Just kidding.

"Look dude. I don't have a death wish so give me the keys and let me drive. You just got out the hospital are you kidding me." I told him as I grabbed the keys from his hands. He immediately gave it to me without any questions and all. Then he went inside the passenger seat.

"You know what?" He suddenly said as soon as we were about to go.

"What?" I asked.

"You call me dude all the time, if not dude, you just call me Joshua. That's too boring. Now that we're together, Why don't we have some pet names or something." He suddenly suggested and I laughed at him.

"Yeah right. Ahhahahahahah" I said and then he just gave me a smile and waited for me.

"You're serious?" I asked and he nodded enthusiastically. Well I figured that he was too cool for that or something but he likes things like that too. I'm not a fan of pet names though. It just feels unnatural and unnecessary.

"Come on! Don't look so bored with me already." He said as he grabbed my hands away from the wheel and kissed it.

"I don't really like pet names though." I said honestly.

"Oh come on it— oh wait somebody's calling me." He said as he felt a vibration from his phone. I didn't drive yet because I was still curious who was calling him then he picked it up.

"Who's calling?" I mouthed to him in silence.

"Oh it's Yujin." He suddenly said then I looked at him coldly.

"Oh." I said while glaring at him. He then chuckled a little. He finds me funny is that it?

"Relax. I'll put it on speaker" he said assuring me and clicking the speaker phone very obviously. Then I smiled and rolled my eyes at him again. He really is the standard.
