Y/N POV

I never really experienced grief in a 'healthy' way at least that's what my mom used to tell me...

I found it easier to avoid talking about.. suppress my feelings and try to move on
Until untimely.. I would break.

I didn't really have time to properly grieve my mom because of all the chaos surrounding me, With the whole hiding from Kathleen with Henry and Sam thing and then meeting Joel and Ellie, I haven't had a second to reflect on the last few weeks

And now that Henry and Sam are gone....
I feel lost...

—--------------------------

Joel and Ellie buried Henry and Sam's Bodies outside the motel,
While you watched with an
grief-stricken expression
You were out of tears, and not sure how to react to what had just happened, contemplating everything that had led to this moment, trying to imagine things going differently...

Ellie went to grab Henry's backpack and Joel's jacket from back in the motel
Leaving you two in an uncomfortable silence

"You should come with us" Joel said,
finally breaking the silence

You couldn't muster up the strength to speak so you just nodded fiddling with the ends of your sleeve nervously

After a few minutes, Ellie returned she placed Henry's bag at Joel's feet along with his jacket.

Joel then watched as Ellie walked up to you with Sam's magic slate in hand, She gestured to where they had buried Sam before slowly taking your hand and guiding you over to the 'grave'

You both knelt on the dirt staring down at the soil until Ellie placed,
the slate down onto the mud, before getting to her feet

"Which way's west?"
she asked Joel

You hesitantly got up and went to stand by Ellie, brushing off the mud from your jeans

Joel nodded in the direction and without another word, Ellie grabbed your hand and took off not waiting for Joel

Ellie squeezed your cold hand tightly, as you both held back your tears
Trying to be strong for one another

"Let's go" Ellie called back to Joel her voice breaking as she spoke

In turn, you squeezed her hand, she met your gaze and gave you a weak smile Before the two of you continued walking

Joel caught up a rifle slung over his shoulder and together
You all walked in silent grief.
