Today was the party, and right now I was standing behind double doors leading to the ballroom, while I was waiting for my cue to come out.
I was wearing my new suit, on the other hand I had to wear some heel dress shoes, cause Christian said it would be more elegant instead of sneakers. They were only four inches but gosh it feels so uncomfortable. My hair was down but held up with clips so people could see my face more or whatever.
Ramon, Christian, and Adonica was out there announcing me to the guests, dramatically might I add.
"Good evening everyone, I want to thank everyone who could make it. Tonight we introduce a new member to the Sánchez family. A special someone who we've been waiting for a lot time—" Ramon paused for dramatic affect. "I introduce my granddaughter and our princesa, Nova Negrin-Sánchez!" Ramon exclaimed at the end.
Let's get this over with.
I walked through those door immediately everyone started applauding. I held my head high and kept my face as expressionless as possible.
There were so many intimidating men and women, making me feel anxious. Nevertheless I wouldn't let them get the idea that I'm easily intimidated. It's gonna take more than a couple of intimidating people to scare me.
As I was walking I see Cisco and his family. When I was walking down, Cisco mouthed "you got this." That eased my nerves a bit, giving me the encouragement I needed.
Cause I really needed it!
When I reached the podium, Ramon, Adonica, and Christian looked at me with approval. The rest of the family were standing at the large table to the side, with a throne chair in the middle that was for me. From the corner of my eye I could see Mariana recording, along with Valeria.
Oh great.
I sighed and turned my full attention to Christian when he came forward with a black box. Opening it, there laid a beautiful ring.
