"I don't get this?" Cisco whined, throwing his hands up.

"What don't you get?" I asked while doing my homework.

Right now we're at lunch, under the blossom tree as usual. Levi and Kai are getting us some lunch from the cafeteria while Cisco and I wait for them. I took the time to do my homework so I didn't have to deal with it later.

"This stupid homework assignment for English, it says to 'write a poem about the word you were given by your teacher' how do you expect me to write a poem about the word Not?" He exclaimed at the end.

I stifle a chuckle, poor Cisco. "It's not that bad, all you gotta do is come up with something that is not what it is and you explain what it really is in your own way." I explained, continuing my work.

"You are so smart Nova. What would I do without you." He praised me.

"I don't know. Fail your classes." I shrugged nonchalantly.

"Ha. Ain't that true." Kai laughed carrying two trays with Levi right behind him with two more trays.

"Here." Levi gave me mine "it's club sandwiches with carrots, apple slices, pudding, and milk. But instead of milk I got you a Coke Cola." He handed me a can of Coke Cola, to which I said thanks to.

"He what about me? Why don't I get a Coke?" Cisco whined.

"Because you need some milk." He deadpans.

Cisco rolled his eyes and took an aggressive bite out of his sandwich.

"So, Nova what is your poem about?" Kai ask's sitting down horizontal from me.

"Mine is about Scars." I took a sip of my Coke "Not very excited about it, but oh well." I shrugged.

"Why aren't you excited about it?." Levi asked from across from me.

Maybe because I'm the definition of scars.

Or I have scars that tell there own story.

That I'm too insecure to show my skin because of it

"Just not really interested." I tried to drop the subject.

" I bet you'll still do great with it, even if your not interested in the topic. I know you'll do pass." Levi gave me an encouraging smile. I had to force myself not to blush.

"Thanks." I took a big gulp of my Coke and continued with my work.

That's how was for the rest of the school day. I had classes with some of the boys, we chatted during and after classes. Anytime anyone would say insults to me they would threaten them with their lives. I told them they don't need to fight for me, but they said they were fighting with me instead. I really appreciate them.
