Chapter 11

My lunch wasn’t really appealing. Why? I’m mad at Kal and I need to talk to Cyril plus Bridget treated me like trash today. I just don't understand.

"You bitch!" Someone screeched behind me before yanking at my hair.

'What is with them and my hair?'

I stood up to scream at them but stopped half way I shouldn’t stop, I know. But my bully is my best friend.

It’s Claudia but she looked like 'shit'. Her short hair is everywhere, her face is stained with mascara trails obviously she’d been crying and Bridget is behind her enjoying this.

"Claudia what’s wro...?" She came closer, dragging me by the collar of my shirt.

"Don’t. You. Dare. Pretend to care." She growled at me.

"But I do care." I defended.

"No!" She snapped. "You don’t! He….He’s crazy about you! He broke up with me because of you! What do you have that I don’t?" She sneered. "The red hair? The stupid ember eyes? I was ready to be you for him but he just wants you!!" She screamed at me calling more attention.

"Can we settle this privately?"

She lost it after my sentence, attacking me like crazy. Ripping my shirt in half and hitting me. It didn’t hurt physically as much as it hurt in my chest. My heart was hurt.

It worsened when I saw Bridget stood there smiling at us. We got separated by a teacher before we were taken to the principal’s office. Our principal said a whole lot of stuff and I think Claudia got a detention and I got to go to the clinic.

I loved them, they loved me too and just because of Cyril they were ready to call it quits? They should have called me to order and let us hash things out between us, but they didn’t.

They rather humiliated me.

I has hurt, deep to the bones. The nurse gave me a jacket to cover up and treated my scratches and cuts. Kendal got to the clinic a few seconds before the nurse began her treatment. Once the nurse was done, Kendal escorted me back outside where I met Kal, Cyril, Bridget and Claudia.

Cyril was holding off Claudia yelling at her. "I told you I never liked you, it’s Orla I love, okay? So stop this madness."

"Then why did you date me!?" She screamed at him.

"Because she told me to!" He snapped. "That’s the truth. I was too late to confess my feeling to her and you had already told her you liked me so she begged me to date you. I never liked you or got the lightest bit attracted to you. I did it because she loved you and she didn't want to see you broken all over again and now I’m sick of being with you. I want my love and that’s Orla, Okay?"

I would be overjoyed with his declaration but what’s the use?

Claudia saw me and Bridget too, they both came towards me but Bridget was faster. She slapped me and yanked my hair. Kendal quickly intervened.

"See what you caused? You evil bitch!" Kendal pushed Bridget off giving space to Claudia, Kal and Cyril were too slow to do anything, I was just ….hurt.

She landed a blow on me and scratched my neck. "You didn’t love me! You never cared! You just wanted to see me miserable, isn’t it?" She screamed as Cyril lifted her from behind and took her away.

I fell to my knees, feeling pains in my chest. I screamed, I think the whole school heard it but I heard Bridget snicker after I curled up.

"Oh look, it’s Cupid's first heart break." Arms wrapped around me lifting me off the school floor. I recognized them.
