Chapter XIX: Caught in a lie

"Imma go dig this fuck nigga up." Tj grabs his keys and gun off Messiahs desk, meaning exactly what he says.

"Wait now. You know I'm all for killings niggas but what's a dead man gone say? Nothing bro. We need to get this nigga in the video." Melvin says, while everyone is collecting guns, ammo, and various other weapons.

"Y'all don't even know where to go yet. I get it bro you need yo girl back, but she need you to use yo fucking membrane nigga. Get somebody who know how to find and track people, make a plan, then execute it. Not whatever the fuck y'all trying to do right now." Melvin says looking his younger brother in his eyes. The same green eyes staring at each other without words Messiah puts down the gun in his hands. Instead he picks up his phone.

"Poopy come to office like now my nigga."

"I can't, i'm not even-Bro what the fuck I just said? I pay you for this shit get yo ass here I don't give a fuck where you at or what you doing. Be here within the next thirty minutes." He hangs up the phone throwing it across the room right past Jay's face, just missing his head.

"Damn nigga. You need anger management therapy...clearly. Bro I think this nigga swiped my eyebrow off." As Jaylen start touching all over his face Jamor and Tj slap his head. Making him pick up the green toy gun pointing it at them.

"Y'all niggas gangin up on me nie? So y'all must wanna be next to Tootie fruity."

"Y'all niggas playing like Mayari ain't going through some shit! Fuck wrong with y'all." Messiah says walking past everybody mugging them.

"Yo relax Siah."  Tj says putting his hand on Messiah's shoulder, but he just shakes him off and continues walking. "Yo bro."

"I feel the same way as you my nigga. This getting to you just as much as me. But i'm not finna sit here and throw a fit." Tj says making Messiah turn around, anger written all over his face.

"Nigga don't tell me how to feel. What if Alyssa was missing? Huh? How the fuck would you feel? I've protected Mayari almost our whole lives, what the fuck imma do without her??"

For a second Tamris thought about it, at first Alyssa was supposed to be a one time thing and a baby came out of that mistake. But now she was the love of his life, he would be the same way if she went missing especially pregnant with his baby. "Bro you not finna do shit cuz she gone be straight we gone get her back my nigga."

"Did you and I watch the same fucking video bro? They probably got her drugged up, and who knows what other shit they did to her? I shouldn't have stood her up, I should've told her who I am and what I do. She so smart man I know she knows but won't say nothing till I do and I might not even get that chance. What i'm gone do Tj?"

For the first time since she went missing Messiah looked at Tj with desperation or maybe for the first time ever. And Tj stood there, in front of his long time best friend completely voiceless. Not sure what to say to ease his mind because that was Mayari's thing. He never came to Tj with his problems or worried simply because Mayari was always there and that was his first option, always. But soon it seemed like without her he'd fall into the deep end with no chance of recovery.

Knowing whatever he says won't help and that his words won't bring Messiah any comfort, he grabs him less than an inch taller than him, and pulls him into a tight hug. Pulling away Tamris pushes Messiah back playfully. "Aye man just chill alright, Poopy gone be here. We'll find Mayari you'll be there for her as long as you need and forever after that and y'all will be happy and i'll be an uncle and godfather. Things will work out bro, remember that." Messiah smiles a barely noticeable smile and nods running his hands down his face gathering himself.
