Chapter 4

"Is the breakfast ready for Mr Williamson?" The butler asked the head chef who was quick to offer a look to one of the maids before he told the butler. "Everything is ready. We are all ready to set the dining area."

"Great," The butler walked out to notice the master of the family, Robert Williamson. He was tall, dominant and controlling to all the little details. And, why not? He had been handling the Williamson enterprise for the last six years now. He was still in college when his father passed away with a sudden heart attack. For the last six years, he had been handling the vast empire of his family single-handedly. The span of his young life was short but not so much to not allow him to meet the woman of his dreams.

Robert was in school when he fell in love with Valerie. She was the most beautiful girl in the school. And, Robert who had always been told how he only deserves the best knew the very moment he deserves to have this beautiful woman by his side forever. For this is how beautiful she was. And, her beauty wasn't her only trait. Her ego, heels, and the way she walks as if she had given this whole world on the lease were something that would make anyone turn around and look at her.

Her father was one of his father's friends and had been a noble and millionaire family. No one really knew in their family what struggle was and had owned agricultural lands always. Robert doesn't know what it was about Valerie but when everyone talked about how only the luckiest could have her he knew it was him. She had a lot of admirers and yet she chose to talk with Robert. And, he didn't have to do anything too. He was the wealthiest in his school and she knew how to walk like a queen. And, Valerie too chose him to be her first in everything.

Robert had been in love with her ever since. Though she might be the dumbest when it comes to intelligence he knew that she never wanted it when it came to being loved by him because he wanted to love her with his all.

Robert was about to start with his breakfast and his assistant was about to tell him about his day when all of them notice Valerie coming in. Robert's eyes shot up before he got out of his chair to embrace her in his stronghold. "How have you been? Don't tell me you are missing out on your college again."

Valerie groaned at his remarks and was quick to tell him. "I don't know. Don't talk like my father? Also, you are all I think about always." She whispered against his mouth and looked at the most handsome man who had ever graced the earth. And, not only was he the most handsome but rich too. She knew too there was no other way for her but to marry him. But still, her heart wanted to live a life where no one nag her as her father do.

"What's in my schedule today?" Robert asked his assistant, John.

"You have three meetings today. And, one of them is with that lad Eric. We were to buy his venture."

"Oh yeah,..." Robert seemed to be thinking about it for a moment before he said, "Cancel all the meetings for today. Shall we?" Robert said the last of it looking at Valerie and she smiled ever so proudly.

Valerie was quick to take notice of Mrs Williamson sitting in the living area and mention, "Hello, Mrs Williamson,"

"I am waiting for you," Robert whispered in her ear before he left to get his car out.

"How are you doing, darling," Mrs Williamson got her attention and she too walked to her to give her a side hug.

"I am doing amazing,"

"I am so tired of you two waiting. I wonder when you two will give me the news." Valerie laughed shaking her head and whispered, "Soon,"

And, this almost turned Valerie's insides. She didn't know what she wanted at this point. Robert was sure rich and handsome but she had spent a lot of time with him to learn enough how he is completely opposite. And, Mrs. Williamson wasn't the only one who was waiting on the news. Her parents too weren't any less.
