"One week is up, girl." The message from Valerie read.

Sarah knew what she meant. But Laura slamming her hand on the counter took her breath.

"What the fuck are you doing? Do you get paid to use your fucking phone here!"

"I am sorry," Sarah mumbled but Laura got her hand forward.

Sarah gave her phone and Laura slipped it into her pocket.

Sarah too knew she didn't want it for now. The moment Sarah got off work she went to a pharmacy. And, though she had gotten her cell phone back from the desk she still hadn't dared to check it.

For Valerie it was nothing but Sarah feared her video getting leaked. She couldn't make it to the doctor's visit for her mom.

She hadn't felt any change in her body. She was worried thinking what would happen if she was not pregnant and shivered thinking what if she were pregnant.

Either way, she couldn't let Valerie have a chance to make another video over her.

Sarah went home and used the strip once, twice, and a few other times. Each one reading she is not pregnant.

She finally looked at the phone and there were no other messages from Valerie. Sarah lay on her bed at night and yearned to see her mother. Her mother did send her a voice note. But guilt was eating her so much that she only sent her mother fifty thousand dollars. Without any message. Somehow it felt her mother would know what she had done if she talked to her.

Her mother's doctor has assured her that her mother can recover fine. And, Sarah knew her mother's treatment was possible as long as she had money.

Staring at the ceiling Sarah didn't know what to do or feel. But all of a sudden flashes of that night started floating in her vision. How Robert was wrapped over her. She turned to her left side and let her tears soak in the pillow.

I can't do it. I can't do it again.

Sarah dreaded the possibility of Robert finding out about her. She wonders how he couldn't recognize her. Or does Valerie has done this to him before? There were too many questions and thoughts consuming her. She could only hope that Valerie would forget about her.

In the morning, Sarah opened her eyes and found a voice message from Valerie. A bitter taste laced her guts and it hurt. She opened it to hear. "Pregnant or not meet me in the evening. Do you get me? We had a deal, bitch! I am done with games. You will get pregnant with Robert's child and I will prove his cheating ass. You will help me through this if you want your mother's therapy to go on. Do you get me? Don't you dare think that money is yours? I know hundreds of ways to get that money back. I can do a lot, Sarah. A lot."

Sarah couldn't help but break into sobs. She felt like hanging from a thread. She took an off from her job and had to tell her roommate, "I am fine. Go away," when they knocked at her door constantly. She refused to walk out of her room for the whole day.

In the evening, Sarah called for an Uber and reached a mansion out in the city. She was wearing worn-out jeans with a mustard-colored t-shirt. She was in no spirit to impress Valerie.

The place was in a rich neighborhood. And, if she wasn't wrong it was Robert's residence. It was the address Valerie had pinned her.

Sarah found the same maid from the last time waiting for her in the front. Sarah tried to show she was pissed when she demanded. "Where is Valerie?" Sarah had decided she wasn't here to get bullied but the moment she noticed two gunmen standing by Valerie's side in the living area her core faltered with fear. She could sense how feeble. Her helplessness was apparent in front of her. Sarah knew she didn't want to be there when she noticed a man appearing from her left checking her from head to toe and casually sitting beside Valerie's shoulder.
