“Miss Brown,…we can’t do much if she is not performed right away. I will ask you to do anything to arrange the money…” I got my hand on my mouth and sobbed. I wonder what I will do now.

I walked back to have a look at my mom from the windowpane. She hasn’t reached her fifties even. She was forty-three years old and was far too young to have heart disease.

It was only her daughter for what Catherine had lived for and now Sarah wanted to do anything to save her mom too.

Mrs Williamson was the first thing that rang in her brain and asking Sandra to stay in the hospital for her mom she took Sandra’s car to get to Williamson’s mansion. She had to wait for hours for Mrs Williamson’s arrival. Even then the guard wasn’t allowing her to go and see Mrs Williamson. She was asked to leave by the staff but “Please, let me see her for once. It is really important.” She continued requesting.

In the evening, one of the staff came to tell her that her request had been told to Mrs Williamson but she still refuses to see her.

It didn’t come as a surprise to Sarah. She knew Mrs. Williamson was not into giving favours. But Sarah didn’t know anyone besides Williamson’s who could help her. And, to tell the truth, the money that would take Sarah years to save up they could give her and wouldn’t even remember.

And, even then Sarah wasn’t here to ask for the charity. She was persistent to send requests to Mrs Williamson that she will return this money. Even the guard couldn’t help but show sympathy with her. Catherine was working here for the last many years. And, he too wonders why this Williamson family had to be so rude.

This was the reason that she was allowed to wait on Mrs Williamson in the security room that wasn’t quite far from the huge iron gate. One of the staff members came out to repeat the same thing.

“Mrs Williamson refuses to offer anything. She is pressing how they don’t owe Catherine anything more than her monthly salary.” And, that literally broke Sarah’s hope but what came out of her mouth was. “I…I can’t leave. Please try to understand. My mom…”

“Please, Sarah…we can’t help you more than this. If you want to wait for Mrs Williamson to change her decision. Now, you have to wait outside. She had asked you to remove from here.”

“Please…I really don’t have any option. Please…I really need money for my mother’s surgery. I promise I will return every single penny…” And, before she could complete her sentence she heard someone say from her back. “Is this you!” Sarah turned to look at Valerie and got her eyes widened. She wonders what she was doing here. But before Sarah could react Valerie walked to her saying. “So, it is you…who that maid’s daughter is. Hmm…I really feel bad for you. I mean…I have heard Aunt Rachael…I am sure she isn’t going to give you a single penny. Why don’t you go out and beg on the streets…I mean…that way you might get something but here…” She trailed off making Sarah press her mouth.

Valerie opened her mouth to say something but a horn got her attention and she looked back. Sarah too got her face up and found Mr Williamson, the sole heir of Williamson's group in his Lamborghini.

“Excuse me…my boyfriend is waiting for me…and, as for your mother…I think you should just give up on the idea of getting any help from here.” She looked at Valerie going away in her high silhouette.

Sarah had to leave the premises given the guards wouldn’t let her stay and she walked back to the hospital only to see Sandra crying her eyes out in the lobby. “What happened?” She almost yells looking at Sandra who too was quick to look at her.

“Is she alive?” Sarah got hysterical and Sandra too held her hands. “She is alive but she got seizures and…a heart attack…doctors had got her vitals steady…I can’t see her like this, Sarah…Oh god…I hope I could do something.”
