Solana's life had gotten quite hectic as of late.
After spending some time at home in Los Angels for about two weeks, she had to officially travel for press. She was more than grateful for the fact that the first two weeks of press were in Los Angels, so she didn't actually have to travel outside of the country unlike some of her cast mates.
Solana loved traveling the world and being interviewed about a job she loved; just not the long hours that came along with it and occasionally the invasive interviewers.
Throughout the time that Max and Solana had spent apart, they had stayed in touch. They would text and even occasionally converse over the phone on a day to day basis, learning new and interesting things about each other.
"I'm finally about to have my fourth and final interview for the day. I'll text you afterwards when I'm not busy." Solana informed Max over text.
"Okay. I'm looking forward to seeing them when they come out." Max genuinely replied.
He may not have had all the time in the world to be on his phone or even watch every interview of Solana's, but for her, he'd make the time.
Solana put her phone on silent and placed it into her purse before sitting down in the chair that she would be interviewed in.
Solana couldn't lie, this was the most nervous she's ever felt for an interview. She was doing a lie detector test with Vanity Fair. She had absolutely nothing to hide, yet she was recounting every last detail about her life.
A blood pressure cup was currently being wrapped around her bicep which monitors her pulse and blood pressure. Then, two straps were being wrapped around her chest and abdomen which monitors her breathing. Lastly, two metal cuffs were wrapped around her index and ring finger to monitor her sweat levels.
It was at a time like this where she had remembered something that her theatre professor had said to her during her time in college. "Actors are the worst liars because they only know how to tell the truth."
Now, Solana was a fairly decent liar, she lied for a living, but this time she was being hooked up to a machine that detects even the slightest bit of a lie if she reacted a certain way. Hell, these tests were used on criminals.
"We're gonna start off simple. Is your name Solana Pérez?" The interviewer who sat off camera questioned the actress.
"Yes." She replied.
"Are you twenty two years old?" He asked.
"Yes." She replied.
"Are you about to take a polygraph exam?" He asked.
"Yes." She nervously replied.
"This will be quick and easy. If those needles move it's detecting nervousness." The interviewer informed her of how the polygraph test works.
"Okay." The needles moved a bit as she released a shaky breathe.
"Are you nervous?" The interviewer knowingly taunted her.
"Of course." She truthfully replied with a nervous chuckle.
"Why?" He asked.
"Because the internet has a habit of twisting words." Solana bitterly spoke from experience.
"I'm gonna ask you a series of questions. This shouldn't be hard if you're honest with me." The interviewer stated, causing Solana to nod her head in understanding.
"You were born in Jalisco. Do your speak Spanish?" He asked.
"Yes." Solana replied.
"Why do a lot of people doubt that?" He asked.
