chapter 16 (pov:Ved)

I have been noticing her feelings for a long long time 

Tania likes me.

And Ved likes her back.

But he is a jerk.

I do like her and it is not a fling for sure 

But will she be able to handle a guy like me? 

Girls like Anaya will always be around me and I don't know if I will be a good man to her 

She is a simple girl I don't want her getting hurt in any way also I have always been with girls like Anaya

I could see her getting hurt right in front of my eyes and I could do nothing

I have no idea if I should carry on with my feelings or if I should leave her alone.

Being with me will give her nothing but stares 

I don't want her to go through that 

Reyansh saved Ruhi from all that 

But I don't know if I can do the same

But today I wanted to leave all that thought for once.

"Come on guys let's dance," I said as soon as Anaya and Tania started giving each other cold looks.

Tania went sat in a corner 

Ruhi wanted to follow her but I asked her not to and I followed her instead

"I can understand u being mad but don't show that to dance" 

I said with a smile knowing that she loved to dance

She wanted to smile but also wanted to be mad so she looked in the other direction

"Come on it's my birthday" 

She smiled and asked me to sit beside her for a while

She got a small wrapped box out and handed it to me 

"It won't be as good as what Anaya gave u but it is my hard work 

Hope u like it" she said as I was opening the box

"It's the thought that matters," I said 

I opened the present and there was a beautiful bracelet with a handkerchief with threadwork of constellations

I hugged her and thanked her

I liked it a lot 

I promised her to use it well and dragged her to the dance stage 

We danced our hearts out and enjoyed ourselves to the fullest.

It was time for the last song which was meant for couples 

Reyansh immediately asked Ruhi for a dance and guess what 

She said yes 

We cheered them as if she said yes to his proposal

There were 2-3 couples from my school too

"Would u like to dance with me?" Anaya asked me

Tania who was standing right next to me tried shifting away I held her hand signaling her not to go and replied to Anaya

"It's the last song for couples let it be for them" 

She walked off and Tania immediately started laughing 

" Could u not do that Tania she is my co-captain and my friend" I said also laughing 

 And she continued cheering for Reyansh and Ruhi

Reyansh was living the best time of his life and Ruhi was so embarrassed
